THIS IS NOT A PVP SUX POST!!!!

Note to self. PvP and loot all Puffy PCs…
Your characters are potion filled pinatas!

Dispel is the ultimate key in PvP. It's the most powerful tool at your disposal, as far as consumables go.. (Within reason). Haste is an excellent potion. Great for escaping, great for battling, always a good first or second pick. Knowing what your enemies are going to attack you with and KNOWING your enemies weaknesses is very intelligent. If your enemy is a half-orc barbarian, maybe you should try and get a one-off item with fear or confusion on it. Cleric? Abuse his reflex with tanglefoot bags and damage spells. This game is built around counters for every class, it's why you need parties to accomplish anything!
A key is really having as many potions as possible, you never know what could happen. I remember during Gaamersea Lionel's Hardcastle armor exploded, but because I just happened to keep mage armor potions on me for no reason other than "what if I ever need them"… I managed to survive.

Dedagin I think it's important for someone to spend some time to really understand the mechanics of this game. Sure we play to RP but the mechanical aspect is important, and having a better grasp of how everything works will lead to less burn outs because you will probably die less often. I used to get my ass whooped on a regular basis in Pvp until I finally started doing this. Figure out what you need to use so you can boost your stats. Learn how to buff your AC/AB/Fort/Reflex/Will accordingly so you can prepare yourself for fights. Puffy's post is actually very helpful, you may look at that and say "Damn how could I ever get that many potions" but when you start using the proper consumables on quests, they become more profitable and actually make you spend less on healing. You need to make money to get money, or in this case you need to use consumables to get consumables. At the end of the day the impact of your build has a minimal effect on PvP, consumables is king and knowing which to use in a fight and at what time is usually the difference between winning and losing.
On a side note, it's already been noted but it is extremely important to be able to differ IC and OOC, when I killed Will you did send me some things but I never reported it…. why? Because I understood where you were coming from, I used to be emotionally attached to the PC if I played them as long as you had been playing Will. But after playing this game for so many years you have the chance to communicate with so many people and learn from them. Learn from other players that it is simply a video game and that winning or losing doesn't matter. Look at that post from Lizard in General discussion about what type of player you are, the players that I picked as my favourites weren't simply my favourites because of how awesome they were, they were people who taught me more about the game and how to improve my own game(RP wise and mechanically)

Thanks GD…means a lot.

I look at Puffy's list and think…Puffy must have run some serious quest trains to afford all that fat loot.
-
Or got a loan. Loans are healthy.

Puffy had just copied Dobbys elf's inventory, and pasted it on her own secret PCs. That list is insane. But yes, supplies is key to survival. A healthy stock of Barkskin potions, Shield potions, healing potions and a few invisibility to spare ups your survival rate quite a lot for most quests. As to PvP, strike first. Ive only ever lost like 2 PvP encounters where I was the first to strike.

Rather, just use the tool because the chat commands don't seem to be working correctly :D

Actually I got given most of it by friends whom kept me supplied in return of plot help and such, Friendship is Magic!

Actually I think you just typed it in wrong, but either way I would like to not be dead any longer and am still waiting on a DM to fix the murder that wasn't supposed to happen.

Not all of us have the e-gurl powers, Puffy. We have to get our supplies the hard way.
