Arabel Builds
-
what builds are not allowed in CoA?
-
barbarian/monks aren't allowed. Assassin/paladins aren't either.
Otherwise I think anything goes?
-
Monk/druid
-
I could see a potentially badass monkish druid.
-
more direct approach, paladin\Cleric allowed?
-
Paladin/Bard is tricky!
-
@Selene:

It would be allowed, but you would want to explore why a Paladin was focussed serving a deity rather than focussing on his Calling or Quest. Clerics have a different role and goal than Paladins. Make sure you're actually telling a proper story rather than just mixing up classes because you get fancy mechanics from it.
-
I have a couple of years to figure that out until my return do not worry abbot, I will try and find a suitable way of thinking for the character.
btw bless weapon and healing…ok I was mainly looking for the build but I'll get the concept going as I said!
-
Moloch played a monk/druid.
-
Moloch doesn't count. He can make even the weirdest build work story wise.
-
Paladin/Rogue. Is that permissible?
-
I see no reason why that wouldn't be.
-
Paladin Ranger would also work?
-
paladin ranger = radar build ;)
-
@ArkhamWarlock:
Paladin/Rogue. Is that permissible?
I'm so there.
Lisa Amraphen: Still a Shady Paladin (now with 100% more Sneak!)
-
@ArkhamWarlock:
Paladin/Rogue. Is that permissible?
I hope so because I want to play a gnome from this order!
Knights of the Shadowy Cloak: This paladin order of the gnome god Baravar Cloakshadow keeps a low profile in gnome communities. Its members seek to eliminate goblinoids, kobolds, and other evil humanoids, for they believe these creatures cannot be redeemed. They work secretly so as not to attract attention or bring about retaliation against local gnome settlements. They rarely spend much time together, preferring to join mixed-race adventuring parties to use the strength of the "big folk" against their common enemies. They can multiclass freely as clerics, fighters, illusionists, and rogues.

SWEET.
-
I see nothing wrong with rogue/paladin, as long as rogue levels were taken first and the char then earned paladinhood
-
I think I saw an old thread somewhere where Moloch or another DM said that Paladin/Rogue would be frowned upon. Only Baravar Cloakshadow and Arvoreen allow it, I think.
Selene - Also look into Paladin orders. You can't multiclass freely between Paladin and Cleric. Depends on the diety.
Paladin/Clerics are allowed by a lot, but certainly not all, deities.
Paladin/Rangers are allowed I think only by Orsiris and Yondalla.

Also, I've never seen an official ruling on whether Sune can have paladins in CoA. Sune is Chaotic Good, but generally considered the exception to the one-step rule because she has a Paladin order. (I've obviously spent a lot of time contemplating playing a paladin here)

Why would a paladin rogue be frowned upon? A man with shady past find his calling as a paladin…
The other way around however, would not work imho.
