-
@foley Probably because they are magical beasts and not animals
-
@echo There is no Auto AE for Magical Beasts, but you can actively use AE to dominate them (the DC is just a bit higher). They should be able to be controlled just like any other critter you can dominate via AE.
-
They are by default Beasts in NwN but should likely be Magical Beasts which means no AE etc. The team will discuss and get back to you.
Cheers.

Unless CoA altered how AE works other than Auto checks with animals:
"Check: Animals and dire animals have a difficulty class of 15 + the creature's hit dice. For beasts and magical beasts, the DC is 19 + the creature's hit dice. If the check succeeds, the creature is dominated."

@prof-misclick Personally I don't think they should, but AE should still work on them as it should.
-
In the past there was a kit that let you take them as companions.
You lost stuff like duel wielding to compensate, Maybe something like that again?
-
-
Can we get a report of the actual bug, and not a balance issue for this?
-
@zool you can AE them, you cant tame them as companions currently.
the main issue with the things is that they are so big that they dont move easily through pathfinding any obstacles, but other than that i had no issues when using the radial commands. i didnt bother trying the widgit

Not a bug, closing.
