Tiefling/Ranger/Lawful Evil/1/Trysm Thyracart

I am applying for a dark skinned tiefling with glowing purple eyes and horns, as well as the Greywatch faction. Permanent shackles would be always equipped in the gloves slot.
-
Small Background - The character was always a woodsman, scourned from a young age by many and forced to live alone. This lead to him living amongst nature for most of his life, making a habit of sticking to the shadows when he could.
He used his deceitful ways to earn him his living, but this also indirectly lead to the misfortune of many farmers, some even losing their lives.
For his crimes he was offered a choice. To serve a penance sentence in enchanted handcuffs, or the executioner's axe.
Goals, storyline: The character has been sent to Arabel to serve his penance and as such he has been tasked with eradicating evil in Arabel and her surrounding areas; albeit through whatever means necessary.
Ways he will do this is:
- Leading players on quests to surrounding areas on his "mission" to defeat evil afflicting these lands.
- Acquiring information by attempting to spy on different players and factions, though typically leaning towards ones he believes to be evil or underhanded.
- Leading groups to places such as the Yawning Chasm where they are persistent server "Boss" monsters and working with others on how to defeat them.
- Standing firmly against Lycan PCs, as they are a constant threat.
- A strong political presence if possible, to maintain law and order are upheld in Arabel. (Supporting other Greywatch PCs or trying to gain the respect of the council.)
The ultimate goal of this PC would be to become released from his shackles by completing these feats.
If the goal were achieved:
If this were ever accomplished, it would be up to his relationships forged by players throughout his story that would determine his path. If he had strong relationships, the character would remain within the Greywatch and hopefully meet an honourable death against a mighty foe, be it persistent server threat, metaplot, or a PC villain.
If adventurers had scourned and mistreated him, he would pursue to destroy the city within, using deceit to pit other factions against eachother and actively working with criminals from the shadows to live out his vengeful end, no doubt dying to heroes in the end.
--Side note-- Background and "If the goals were achieved" should be spoilers but I'm not sure of how to do that via forum PM.
Thanks!

Doesn;t tell us how they will roleplay the character in a way that isn't a human with glowy eyes.
While this is a decent app, it doesn't meet the app lite requirements... (also you don't app for factions, but that's minor cos he just get's in by talking to the dude)

I think for his story he wishes to say he was forced into servitude by the greywatch as a means of penance. Like the Penal Legion.
This is probably a good idea to approve* based on that, and set a precedent of working off your debt to society.
@Zool makes a good point, this could just be someone off the street, doesn't seem tiefling specific.
So approved special background, not tiefling
-
Someone talk to Bowser and ask what he's going to do to portray his heritage.
-
greywatch wouldn't force servitude. they'd break your knee caps and leave you to starve on the street.

Kinda my view as well
-
They are vigilantes, they don't have the resources nor inclination to imprison and monitor their victims via rehabilitation, after all.
-
Voting no since the background don't work with the Greywatch even if its neat, and since the tiefling subrace isn't really explained.
-
Did anyone talk to him about this yet? Inform him it's not happening?
-
People need to actually vote really. It's one yes to one no. Not exactly conclusive.
-
I actually think the concept is sound, the issue is with a misunderstanding of the Greywatch.
Someone shuold probly talk to them about it.
-
@Zool yes tiefling no greywatch
-
@SpiffyMeister yes but then where are the shackles from, and how does he work to get them removed?
-
He will have to reconsider his concept tbh
-
I can tell him Tiefling approved but greywatch not approved, and he'll need to rework the concept abit?

Think he needs to rework his concept since his whole background isnt approved since it dont make sense
-
I'll let him know he sucks and needs to reapp with a rework ;)
-
@Lord_Acererak Make sure emphasise the former
