You would imprison beholderspawn within the palace of your King and Queen?
Need more humanoid bandits, Hullack Forest Bandit would be nice. Heavy archer/ranger/rogue theme
Need more bandit "companies" like "The Brotherhood," Jake's Five Fingers, The Bloody Few - that sort of thing.
Mountain Hobgoblins in the storm horns complimented by bugbear tribes.
Gibberlings in the sewers!
I want more super long 4-10s with multiple stop points. It would be nice if you got to the 20 minute point you were afforded 1 ending, and then every 30 minutes a different ending, so you could in theory just spend 5 hours doing 1 quest for some cool rewards.
Like a big hole in the ground.
But as you dig it becomes a crypt, then a ... bigger crypt.. then a mind.. now we're in the Underdark.. Ohshit a portal to the Abyss! Ah, now we're in the Historic district.
I like personal stories that develop a characters' various aspects and force change. I like hard choices posed to players, and a good adventure. If you have an idea for a story you would like to see and/or tell, and you think I can be of assistance, feel free to hit me up.
But it's not all about 1 character, I' enjoy most watching players interact, so I do tend to favor group activities.
If you think of a fun tie-in to the servers current theme, I'm interested in hearing what you've got. I have, as many DMs do, my preferred story arch, but don't let that get ya down. The more stories we push as a group, the more fun we'll all have.
West Coast, so Pacific Time Zone, PST.
I'm usually available 4:30PM-1:00AM
More freedom on Sundays, I have Pen and Paper of Saturdays 10:00AM-10:00PM (generally speaking)
My look 'behind the curtain' has led to me thinking that without these restrictions players tend to just wear whatever is the most mechanically viable, despite it being the skin of innocent dead bunnies, or made of paladin tongues. I would be more for loosening up on this sort of thing if we could all agree that certain loots should be considered anathema to a given character. Rival faiths is the most obvious.
I flip flop on this so hard.
Alignment restrictions make sense when you take into account the type of PC these factions are after. Why would they cater to someone who does not share their values? The Greywatch is after a certain kind of person, as was the Crimson Legion. The gear reflects the expectations of those people.
Which is why I would say our current variety of factions are less exclusive.
I've watched the Veluuthra put more than enough players in the fugue for me to think they're scary, I just wanted to know where on the "average spawns of the server" list you would put their power level. 1 being like, a Rat. 10 being (imo) an Eye Tyrant. I would say veluuthra should come in around an 8. But im looking for player opinions, not my skewed view.
