On behalf of poor Valkyrie, regarding celestial summons

@Valkyrie, this one's for you lol.
For a summon theme that is technically illegal and, unless I'm mistaken, is generally earned-in-game, the celestials are very weak. Most of them are either on par or arguably worse than the equivalent animal summons. I understand the old ones were overpowered, but I think the nerf was a bit of an overcorrection.

Beholder theme is the worst IG. Any theme that requires you to earn IG/illegal to use should be head and shoulders above the rest

I am happy to make this a general, "illegal summon themes should be stronger" thread because I agree.

Anything that going have law faction / cults out to murder you /steal yur blood/ make a example. Should totaly be a tad stronger than most themes. I would also surgest giving them bonus's vs evil to be on theme too.

We recently balanced these...
They -should- be significantly more powerful than generally available summons (some of them have a decent bit of SR I think? most stuff doesn't get that) but not as powerful as say, infernal stuff.
Reason being, these are illegal in some instances, but not outright everyone will kill you for them.

Acer tested the demon/infernal summons on me, can confirm they’re tough. They kept up with two full buffed melee.

So celestial have Sr is that spell resist? I know they have immunity to paralyze and resistance to electricity

@Valkyrie Check their character sheets, I think SR is listed on it if they have it.

I will say that Spell Resistance is a pretty niche upgrade on summons, since it's rarely a consideration in PvE. I wasn't extremely impressed with the Celestial Summons as they were, but without looking at the sheets or experimenting with them more closely I couldn't say with certainty that they need much more.
(That isn't an invitation to make more mobs cast spells at us, by the way)

I looked and it does not show any SR on them granted I only looked at the 2nd and 3rd circle summons. They do have +saving throws and resistance to electricity and immunity to paralyze. The justice archon show a decreased ac. When I get on again I will look at the 1st circle ones though they are simple fodder and don't do much. And once I hit 8 again I can look at the 4th circle ones that are monks
