//I am pretty open with a heads up. I can do 8 AM to 10 PM MST. I can't do 1 in the morning however because I have to work the next day :(. I think this means 1 AM your time, which would be 5 PM my time and that would be perfect, if that's what you mean? This clock is a little confusing because it doesn't just give me my time. We are approximately 8 hours behind you.

There I was, in Hillmarch, minding my OWN business, and taking a bit of a nap under the trees. I heard some commotion below me and looked over the ledge to see a wounded bear. While I contemplated what actions to take, SNAP! went a branch and it was immediately dark, and an assassin's blade plunged into my shoulder and my ribs! I quickly drank an invisibility potion and crawled to the ledge, more willing to take my chances with the bear than with the assassin. I fell hard, and nearly broke my leg in the process. The bear scampered off, I drank a healing draught and before I could flee the man had jumped down after me. I hit him with an impede spell and drank a retreat potion and high-tailed it out of there!
Seems the assassins are targeting more than just you, Keline!

Your point is taken, Osco, I understand where you're coming from on this. Maybe my mind has turned to thoughts of subterfuge in light of the multiple attempts on my life-- I want to know why they bid so low, if for no other reason than to sate my quiet paranoia.

Not terribly much, I simply wanted to cut off questions of what I am doing or fears I am somehow going to conduct a holy war in the city or some such nonsense. Some folks have pointed out the appearance of such a force may concern people, I just want to head that line of thinking off before someone gets the wrong idea.

It's easier to spend a few coppers on ink now than fears and concerns that may turn violent later.

I’ve discovered a very modest encampment near the Redwood/Helmlands border, it bears the totem we’ve come to expect and numerous sightings of kobolds, goblins and the occasional orc occur in the area.

I asked Kaldo to look into it, but it turns out he is a terrible sneak and got stung by wyverns in the area. We need to pick up some momentum, however, so I will be assembling a tactical team to begin carrying out this plan once I speak with our magical allies.

As for the gemstone...
Banning the stone would probably not work. It is used in many other things and is midly common. This would indeed require a vote from a council.

It is a council can decide not to bad the gemstones and do nothing of it.
They can monitor those with large quantity so they are not used in the foul creation of undeath.
They can issue a limit on the numbers owned.
They can ban the use temporarily until a situation is resolved.
They can ban it completely.

If they seek to limit or ban, merchant can seek out similar gemstones to replace their stock. We suggest jet, obsidian or the common black tourmaline.

We went early, and with out any of his associates. We will not be seeing Sedgewin around the city anymore. He has been retired. We need to acquire the services of a top notch diviner to find him. I have something of his to use. I know for a fact he knows something and we have a trade item he might well want to bargain for.
