Warm Waterfall quest

    Issue Description:

    We found a couple of small issues on this one.

    The animals on the quest don't give up hide when skinned, only meat. I tried to harvest several different types

    After finishing, there was no journal update, the quest could only be quit as unfinished. Unsure if there was supposed to be an NPC boss in the tower with the other dwarves.

    Dwarves were hostile the moment we entered. Is it possible to start them as none hostile and allow for a conversation skill check to finish the quest peacefully or trigger hostilities on fail?

    The giant chest can't be opened or bashed (we weren't sure if that was intentional). There was a smaller chest there but I think it might have been empty... @Cadiz ?

    Thanks! I have needed this tested for a while, will see what I can do.

    @puffy the smaller chest had some loot in, but had to be smashed as it was facing 180 degrees wrongly

    It would also be good if there were some reason for those that might view the quest giver as a racial enemy a reason to not wander over and kill him, maybe make it an injured recluse/druid or something ?

    Just i found that on hearing the quest giver dialogue i had no ic reason not to attack the thing and actually on hearing that it was dwarves (not even a hint of doubt as to whether they might be durgaer or anything) that were responsible for the giants predicament i was moved to finish the job for them...

    Not all animals give hides. Only the ones that are used in crafting.
    This is not exactly a bug. I'm just not making hides for every single animal that exists that will serve no purpose.

    Wasn't specific, my apologies; The Lions and Malar panthers didn't produce hides. Wasn't sure if the black boar were meant to give them as trophies for Hunter's Union.

    Will give it another go when I can get a group and compare animals to crafting list and try to give a more accurate accounting, as I think there were other (craft skin) cats on it.

    Quest uses NWN basic cats, thus, no skins.
    @Puffy if we want players to get hides from this quest, we need to swap out the cats in the triggers.

    Swapped out NWN animals for CNR versions, for the ones that exist. Not all animals are available in CNR.

    I do agree it's kinda weird to have a frost giant as questgiver, but I'm not bothered enough to change it.

    Considering this closed since all pieces are as resolved as they can be.
