App for part-ownership of Jo's Faceless Inn / maybe start a player faction?
As a followup to the letter to Jo (after the in was destroyed)
I've thought a bit about how to involve players in my plots.

1). Halfling / Ranger1,Rogue9 / Lawful Evil / Level 10 / Nyx Forestghost
2). personal storage and/or player faction with storage. (In faceless basement?)
3). A general outline of goals, plans, or storylines to pursue
Short term goals:

Continue expanding her business influence.
Gain power/influence by working for the palace.
Protect investments by protecting the city.
Improve Halfling Council status.
Longer term:

Get a special law enforcement position appointed by the palace, like a special bailiff or king's guard (higher rank than crimson guards)
Plans to achieve above

Get master orbecks emporium built. (probably on hold cause DM voss isnt active) (Could be used to create a portal to stonelands aswell)
Part-ownership of the faceless, get Jo to import halfling goods from the halfling council
Set up a base for a player faction (special crimes unit, CSI?) in jo's basement, solve various cormyr related cases, or -create- major cases to solve. (both creating/solving cases would involve players)
Character backstory / motivation
Nyx is a character playing the long game, she wants power, influence, fame and uses wealth, people and reputation to get these, she tries be valuable to all major factions but especially when it helps the city.

Ongoing plots:
She has invested a major part of her wealth (25k personally and 50k from dm event) into the setup of an emporium of artifacts and relics with Master Orbeck a retired adventurer and master of portals (DM Voss), originally ment to be in the downtown area.

She now wants to invest in other businesses to expand her influence, Investing in the Faceless Inn is a great location to be seen and start running investigations from to eventually be noticed by the palace and gain/request a position.

OOC: I've played a highest ranking law enforcement person before.

She has a lot of fingers in a lot of pies

My vote is no on co-owner of the Inn. I would vote yes for a room with storage. She already has a base with storage in the sewer, but a room in an inn would be nicer (and smell better). That said, she would need to give up the sewer base for someone else to find/use.

That said, Satoyo has 30k gp and complains about not having potions as rewards. This is a different topic, sure, but I'd like to see her put that gold to good use if she is allowed a "faction base".

What about we give her access to the basement, with the small storage and resting. But she rents it off Jo? That way if someone better comes along, Jo can kick her out.
And yes, she loses the room in the sewers.

I say she can rent the space, give her free rest, and a 10-15 piece storage, for 1k/week. If she does things that promotes the Inn (and whatever Jo's intentions are) she can get more or get a discounted rent or whatever.

I didn't delete the area, so it can be used in the future if we want to. But sure a single room is fine

I thought the Palace was on lockdown? At least with the Rabble Rousers gone - but that's what this sounds like to me.

How will she do this?

Maybe possible if the king/palace give a shit about law enforcement, which it doesnt seem to, at least not at this point.

Not likely since it was Voss's story and he's gone.
