The Sword Coast, especially Neverwinter and Luskan. You could choose which city your pc lives in. I would find it interesting to revisit this setting as someone who is not able to save a city from plague, cruise through Luskan and the Host Tower, and in general save the world, all by himself (yes, you could even do without henchmen) and without even getting his hair ruffled!

Isn't there like 1209 servers dedicated to the Sword Coast and Neverwinter already?

Bored of the Rings
Not everyone has to be a hero, right?

No idea. But the thread was about which alternate setting we would like for COA, not about how many other servers are dedicated to this setting.

A RP server based around the channel 4 show Skins.

Glee… :D
Lol anyway. If we moved the server I would have to say maybe a more southern 'untamed' land. I think I liked it more when we didn't have 3 different kingdoms claiming roads and forest. It used to pretty much be: "If you are in trouble outside our walls. Your F***ed"

Gamma World!..HAHA!
Cuthulu would be interesting..they never did make a good cuthulu game.
-
Why not medieval europe? It would be fun to relive history and plot against the pope  I'm a history buff.
-
Sigil would be awesome, or planescape in general it gives room to really do anything as long as you have the keys.
awesome stuff like only being able to fight in shadows, all the factions (much prefer the earlier setting of this with the dustmen and all that), not to mention healing being a bit less prevalent which causes parties to cope with things in amusing ways.
Just my two cents. -
Vermilion City would be interesting, thriving port community.
-
Equestria. You know it would be brilliant.
-
WESTEROS tbf
-
Location change: Westgate.
Complete setting change: Azeroth! Free WoW RP for everyone! Otherwise Third Earth, you know, Thundercats style, let Mam'rha be the ultimate evil and everyone else a goodly one pawning him every game session!
jokes aside..I d say something post apocalyptic like Fallout would be very very cool and interesting.
For something that can be easier implemented with what NWN gives you: medieval England, or premedieval England before christianity to make room for polytheism, barbarian tribes and the like. Norse gods anyone?

Playboy Mansion. Best. Setting. Ever.

Create a unique mythos different from standard FR,
Two powerful kingdoms at odds with each other, several major families within each kingdom all struggling for more power within their respective kingdom, make the setting REALLY low magic, like you have to app for mages, sorcerors and clerics and there will only be so many of them, they will be given perks to reflect the powerful nature of them and the common mundane folk will treat them with awe or suspicion.
I know such a thing wouldnt happen, people are drawn to the fr setting for some reason, and few would like a magic setting that low.
