Favorite Monsters/Foes in CoA
-
Beholders.
Because no matter how badass you are, one wrong move and it's a one way ticket to fuguesville. Also, once they're dead you feel like you've accomplished something and begin looting the corpses of your companions.

My favorite monster to kill is definitely the ogre.
-
Hellcow.
-
Dragons!
-
Dire Polar bears. Oh wait :(
Coryrmian mountain bears!
I actually like anything thats hard HP wise to bring down, battles that last longer with a single monster is more appealing.
-
Lycanthropes
-
Balor in market

Not the monsta Beholder raised the stakes on the whole South vs. everybody day, with babies catapulted over the walls and such, but Black_Rain_Dog is onto something there.
That and Dragons. The Black that Phin and the Blades ran into was cool.

Playing a wizard, quite the contrary!

Balor in market
puts on to-do list
I like fighting the bigger monsters, such as Ogres, Balors, Giants of all kinds…I really detest fighting magic users or clerics of any kind. Mostly it's because I absolutely suck at playing them, so I don't really know the best way to fight against them other than skewer them with a blade.

Hinty. It's taken me forever to get a handle on that counterspelling.
My real answer is incorporeal undead. Nothing makes me shiver more than a room full of level-draining monsters.
-
Relentless zombies.
They have a lot of hp, they make good noises (mmmhhh… braaains) and their slow and incessant stride towards you gives me a nice sense of fulfillment once I destroy them.
-
Myself…... I tend to kill more of my PCs than any particular monster.
Olen dopplegangers!
and zombies. always fun to do some whack-a-zombie. -
Ze Living Dead!
Muhahaha

A quest that made a mirrored image of your entire party for a semi-boss could be cool, then some sort of creature like a Illithid or Beholder or even a skeletal dragon that would be controlling them would be cool.

There is such quest.

:( i have yet to find it

Undead, mainly zombies. Gargoyles as well, though to a lesser extent.
No banshees and Bodaks! Those aren't nice!Like Eliphas, I like anything that's hard to bring down - ie, has lots of hp/damage reduction/etc (But does not deal high damage).
I hate orcs. Nothing is more annoying than a glass cannon with 5 hp and damage potential of 30. Except maybe things which kill you before you even realize what you are up against (ie, beholders, bodaks, banshees, etc)
(Not the exact numbers, but you get my point). Also, Haunting spectre's (and phase spiders) are one of my favorites… You just can't escape them... They get me easily panicked.
Point is, anything that you can battle for a few rounds before realizing that you can't win, and there's no escape. Things that allow for a heroic last stand to stave off the zombalanche as the rest of the party drags the wound out of the fray.

THIS! an all time favourite.

with this as a close second
@Gmork:I've always loved fighting Goblins. :)
