The big Clar Banda Follow up discussion, with Kodus to KIY
-
It should be made really clear that this wasn't just me running things. I think every one of our active dm's helped out in the plot. I am just loud. And in your face.
Like a Ban hammer.
But rest assured everyone is happy that everyone has had such a good time.
Except Moloch.
Only crying orphans make him happy.
We're working on that for his next birthday.

I just want to know what that silly drunken Dane thinks a "Kodus" is.

The Clar Banda plot just shows how awesome this server is. kudos to everyone involved players and DMs alike :)

The whole plot put my character in front of such hard decisons that frequently I had to pause and take time to consider how one like him would have answered. It was thrilling, intriguing, challenging, and frequently let me wonder how the DM came up with such a well rounded story.

Clarbanda was an epic char in the server and one of the NPC that used to fascinate me OOC also the reason why I made a char with her as a central theme. I will cherish those moments when we knew we will not win and were coming up with desperate ideas.
Also it was interesting how this player faction was made of various DM faction, having both its pros and cons.
Pros would be the players atleast the one not affiliated to DM faction was free to do their things even risking the city and staying away from Politics and still get helpful information passed on from DM faction
Cons I really missed was a dedicated NPC who would guide us, who was as hell bent on destroying banda something you always get in a DM faction, where Players tries to work on NPC plots and eventually garner NPC support in their Player plots.
Also on a side note, I think the hedge magic is being used to much, I know when I would invite players for reagent hunt, Many of the players would complain how they hate roaming the map for random spawns or how hard it is to get them. The idea is really good where players can do something to progress their plot without taxing on DM time, but I wish something new comes with the same intent to replace or at least sideline the hedge magic.

I think it's better this way.

Yes, PCs are the stars of the show, not NPCs. We will not likely ever go back to NPCs telling PCs exactly what to do.
