Some words from Seneschal Jelde Asturien
-
The works of the House of the Morning have gone well recently, despite the unfortunate outcome of the war.
Due to the diligence of our knights I have been able to create something useful to Eveningstar and our order.
Outside the House of the Morning itself, there will soon be a Ward of Radiance, a simple looking pedestal though it is anything but simple. Placing dark texts written to aid necromancers in their foul arts onto the pedestal will burn them in Lathanders light. Several of them a day will keep the flame burning, and the ward active over all of Eveningstar.
This ward will prevent necromancers from animating the dead within our town, should any attempt an attack in future, it would also significantly weaken any they bring here having already done their vile work on innocent peoples corpses.
I am also attempting to set up another within the Battle field of the South Horn.
Keeping these Wards of Radiance in good condition is not a simple task, but you can help by bringing in items of Prestige which we can trade for the required reagents and materials.
Seneschal Jelde Asturien.
//OOC - Some info on this.
This is a new prestige reward unique to the faction. The ward within Eveningstar itself doesn't take a large amount of prestige to keep around, the one in the South Horn takes considerable effort (your current points is close - we may modify the exact numbers, so not posting them here)
When they are around, you can open them (well, anyone can actually) and place books/notes about necromancy into them. Adding three (doesn't have to all be at once) will activate the ward. This will then start out inactive once a reset occurs.
What the ward does:
On a mechanical level, it makes any casting of the animate dead spell fail if attempted in the area. It will also -significantly weaken- any animated dead (created through the animate dead spell) if they enter the warded area. (They get their hit-points halved, and their stats are dropped by 8, all of their stats)If you find any texts or anything else necromancy related you think you should be able to burn to keep the ward active, post it in some OOC post in your forum and we can see about getting them added to the list of accepted objects.
Enjoy.

@zool
Do turning these items in to the wards still net you prestige points? -
@swifty-willownall Nope.
-
(( goblin necromancer staff(sewer goblins) dark chain/armor(Ants), stonebones and vampiric touch(scrolls) would be nice as items for the ward ))
-
//Good stuff, will try add them.
Also, this has been upgraded, and now weakens npc undead as well, though a lot less than animated dead from the player spell.I plan to make this clear by adding "weakened" to the start of the names of undead affected by this.
Currently, it will only affect them when the spawn in, so if there are already undead there when the ward is activated, those won't be weakened. May change this but probably not.

This is found and shuffled to the forefront with a note.
This would be nice if it still works. Let's try it some time?

I will begin this search in a few hours. Likely will need a few people with me but I'll make a sending for it.

It's good to know I have only ever heard of the necromanctic letters to fuel the ward so far, however I do encourage you all to collect wicked artifacts and note them here!
Tass
(the more evil items we note to zool the easier it will be to fuel the ward in a fun way)

//yes, I have to add each item manually to a list of accepted items. Still haven't added a couple Tass mentioned, but I'll get round to it, so anything necromancy related you find, try it, if it doesn't work (there's visual feedback if it does) then note the exact item name down here OOC.
