Low player counts

I had a system developed for this, some time ago. It could be resurrected easily enough.
Maybe you could chat with Zool about it? We'd love to have this, just haven't been able to make it yet.

I'm cool with groups gathering on IRC.
What I'm not cool with is when I sit in the spire trying to gather my last couple XP before leveling and I spend two days finding someone…
I'd encourage people to give a chance for random players to join their quest trains. It costs 20 gold after all..Just to clarify- when I do this, I make a sending first, then make a statement on irc that I just made a sending ig for such and such if anyone is interested. If I say something in irc that is more vague, like "if you would be logged on now if you only had something to do ig", that probably means I made a sending for something that involves something set up with a DM. Back a few weeks ago when the server was Goatman and me on alone more times then not, I would ask what people would be interested in doing on irc before I made goatman make the sending (I make terrible sendings, always have), then he would make that sending. I'm in no way endorsing pming your friends on irc and saying "lets go do trolls" without giving the other players a chance to join, the player base is too small for that. In fact, I'll often send a ig tell to that lone person that isn't in our group just to make sure they really aren't interested in coming along.

You can also make sendings expressing interest or shoot pms to players or OOC friends. It will go a long way towards inclusion and overall enjoyment. CB is one of my closest buddies on CoA and the best conflict I have had is when we have been pitted against eachother.

Meant no offense, mind.

Sorry.I wasn't offended at all, your comment just inspired me to clarify what I meant in case you are not the only one who took it that way. Hell, even if you are, it was still worth clarifying :)

Right! ;)

This is a good idea! I'll start doing this. I guess its easy to be polite in such a PM and if they're the one other player online, you're unlikely to interrupt something!
"Hey bud, we've just got a group together to do XX, levels 3-5. Didn't want to do it without asking if you'd like to join in."

Thing is, having the IC sendigns go into IRC, helps get more people to the IC sendings… so... yeah.
This is possible?

I am sorry to admit I am now finding it difficult to find people and when I do, it is virtually impossible to be included in things. I am hoping this changes in time. But I have noticed occasionally that people who play a character that is a jerk and brushes people off, seems to gravitate towards characters like that.
I had what I would consider a terrible session today, there was only one bright spot in the session for me
