Australia! (Also NZ, Japan, Korea, India, SE Asia)
-
So, I'm looking for people in the GMT +5 to GMT +10 Timezones. I've been looking to recruit all the Aussies as well. Currently have 2 people in this TZ, and have found 1 more. Enough to run my whole faction without having to sleep at 7am.

i hope people realize what a useful idea this is if you want to play with people regularly…
when you delve through the depths of time and space, you become a much smaller target for other people to bump into randomly with respect to the time-space you are ranging in. planning, scheduling, time-space keeping become much more important when your world becomes quite big, and you want to make friends across the distant universes...

My typical log in :(
-
Yes, it's a rather peaceful zone.
Once upon a time, we did have quite a number of Australians. -
I played 7 hours today, 3 hours were just idling, waiting for people to log in.
-
Bring some friends then. Not 100% sure what this post is for.
-
Probably to encourage people to play in these time zones!
-
Then I am totally up for that. When I was in Japan, I was disappoint.

Zool knows my everyday pain
-
I'm sort of trying to illustrate the struggles of low TZ
-
My TZ is pretty dead as well but I occasionally get some overlap. I'm in GMT +3 while desert defendering, but a great many times I have logged into a completely empty server. Feel your pain.
-
I've been in this TZ every morning while I am between jobs.
Thune never wants to quest.

Just a question, is there any DM's or support for this time zone, as I have only seen the odd resets done?
-
It's always been that way, to be honest. There were maybe 5-10 players online in my timezone (if I was lucky) when I was a player, and nwn's total player count has gone down in the 5 years since. I usually had to wait till 11pm - 2am to get a decent shot at interacting with the mainstream pop. Most of the playerbase has always been from Europe and the United States, those TZs will contain the bulk of the population.

I am actually sometimes in game during these times, but I mostly test scripts tbh. Though I have occasionally run a few dungeon crawls for a couple folks.

More Zool dungeon crawls!!!

Moar anything really other than dying.. I have lost count of how often it is just 1-2 people on and nothing happening due to the ease of death. Questing? Not with 2 or less people.. Exploration? Only if you enjoy trips to the Fugue.. Even if we can only get a couple more people on in these times it would make it at least doable to quest or explore safer. While quests scale within a certain range, out of the city only scales up, not down. and Seems to expect a fully prepared party.
Oh.. do not have a full party?.. enjoy the fugue induced amnesia.

It's very difficult to play CoA in this timezone, all my best characters were played during the day when I had no responsibilities to anything and it was much easier to lead and take the initiative with plots, unfortunately times change and as I discovered how dead this TZ is during our off-hours its not difficult to see how its a little off-putting to prospective or returning members from our neck of the woods.
I have no idea how you could remedy it. I guess I could play, but then that's two of us.. maybe three. I guess we could get some quality Pride cyb0r done, actually..
-
I have 3 Aussies…we...2 Aussies.
If we can set up standard playtimes on certain days, we can log in and still have some fun.
-
Yeah the NZ timezone is why I tend to burn out quickly - a few hours of playing was fine, but I can't really justify idling around for hours when I have other things to do. Who knows, I finish uni forever next week and have an endless summer to look forward to in a foreign country (GMT+8 or something), may be tempted to pop in and see what's happenin'
