Bit of a mix both of these two if I'm going to be honest. Solider was a pretty normal guy in the early days, then he turned into "Soldier" a death-seeker who can't just kill himself, but instead must seek conflict with truly terrible foes to make amends for his sins!

I also read a book about the 40k Grey Knights shortly before I made him. I love the imagery of holy warriors fighting against overwhelming odds against truly terrible foes.

I also wanted to play with the idea of the traditional image of the lawful good crusading Tormite... by making a crusading Tormite based more around the mindset of the real crusaders, warts and all.
