Race/Class/Alignment/Level/Name of Character
Kenku/Rogue/4/GibberWhat specific perk(s) (faction, special background, etc)
None. Will be kenku, "part of the consortium", but otherwise largely spying on various players and keeping a low profileA few sentences on how you plan to make the server more fun to play on for everyone, through your characters actions/story.
The character will be essentially spying, constantly on everyone and offering information for a fee. Will try and steal especially useful materials regardless of human intentions. May join the Lavish Haunted Halls plot, but will spy on it regardless. Happy to accept this character will die like a dog very quickly but hopefully that will creatre stories, and that's part of the fun. Kenku are interesting race and usually people engage when they see one.If you're not applying on your normal log-in or handle, what accounts have you played under?
Brief background as relevant to the application.
Gibber is part of the consortium, and so will not "betray the flock", otherwise it is basically an unaligned spy that will constantly try and sneak into every meeting or event without asking PCs. OOC the character was inspired by a lycan rogue I went, and realised it would suit the kenku. I have been kenku before. I think the element of surprise and obscurity of the kenku will make players hands-off, but really Gabber is one of a thousand talking pigeons who will be killed without as much as a whisper.Other- A few examples of how you plan to portray the subrace. (Features, traits, noticeable differences through role-play)
Weak, uncivilised, interested in coin, spying constantly on everyone. -

Not sure this is a "good app". What about this says "kenku"?
-
It's a weak subrace with ic representation.
Just let him play the thing <_<

@spiffymeister We've had too much "just let them play it". We have standards and apps for a reason. Does this meet the requirements for an app for a Kenku? We took them away as a playable race at some point (though I cant find where it was discussed or announced). Why did we take them away?
-
I dunno, it was a discussion had and made while I was on hiatus.
I suspect (but not sure of) the reason was because people were treating them as cute birb men instead of filthy birds and we wanted players we trusted to play them as described.
I trust Joe to be a scummy, uncharismatic asshole.
I believe in him.

Kenkus were removed due to players feeling lost, useless, and having nothing to do as a kenku. They felt there was just not anything worth pursuing, and just being a sneak wasn't very interesting or rewarding. All kenku PCs mostly just loitered about, not engaging or pushing any storytelling. As such the subrace was removed.
Knowing Joe struggles with being independent and pushing stuff on his own, I dont think he has enough to stand on to really make the kenku experience fun for him or others.

Not really the fault of the race tbh.
They were meant to be filthy birdmen nuisances and never really more than that.

Hey, afraid your kenku app didn't pass. The DM team agreed the app wasn't strong enough to hold up the independence needed for a kenku concept. Its a hard app, since we have had a lot of issues with kenku PCs in the past being unable to keep an interesting storyline going for themselves and others. -
