@spiffymeister Thorns of Arabel
Group Gist: If any of you have ever read the Gentleman Bastards novels; we’re that. Gentlemen thieves. Career con men. Membership as follows:
lavishfeast: Ercole Crawford.
an_average_man: Sad el-Shaer.
A_Dreamboat: Saladin al-Brazen
PetriDish: Ahman Jarash
A Liability: Hillian PalaxOf the above, PetriDish is the DM formally known as Stooge, who is someone I grew up with. The remaining three chaps are friends of Stooges who, whilst having dabbled with CoA once a decade or so ago, are more or less very green to this. Faction is Gentlemen Thieves are their (re)introduction to RP Servers.
I have asked them all to invest in Bluff given the nature of the concept. None are in Classes proficient in bluff so they have cross classed the skill and are hovering around a respectable 6/7 each. So they’ve taken it onboard.
I understand from Spiffy we should have notified you if these players joined existing factions as “infiltration”. Thats my bad, I didn’t advise them to do so.
PetriDish is in your Greywatch Faction and an_average_man is trying to join the Ravens. Others are either not associated with any DM Faction or embedded in PC Factions.
The scope of the infiltration is purely to bleed into the fabric of society and achieve for the Thorns varied vantage points from which to exploit. We don’t envision the characters being mainstays of their current factions, we do intend to ramp up the overt crime and retreat to Slum dwelling ne’er-do-wells in the near future. The faction positions are social standings and so we can learn and exploit from behind enemy lines, so to speak.
Onto the Murdered Manticore specifically:
We’re like an self respecting Thieves Guild, we want a little corner of the server to plot and scheme. Basement of the Manticore is absolutely perfect, really compliments the faction beautifully. At the moment, we’re concentrating on long cons (See the Riddles of Tymora, a false Tymoran artefact we’re using to eke out as much money from adventurers as we can. See Tymoran Masquerade Ball etc etc. We’re trying to do roleplay driven con jobs.
When we are eventually exposed we envision ourselves retreating back to the Slums where the arrangement we’ve set up with the Manticore will be paramount to survival. The goal here is to establish a Slums Coalition that represents the interests of the Slums and are open thieves and sluggards – Ercole is going to style himself as the 13th Councilor, the black sheep of the Council of 12 that represents the interests of the criminal fraternity.
The Manticore Basement will be the Council offices, in this respect.

Why not use one of the dmless bases?
Cause the murdered manticore is in the middle of the city and isn't a sewer trap? I dunno, but I think they can use the basement.

Their long con idea is gold sprinkled in diamonds, if I was voting, I would vote yes

Calling this approved.
Is there a key for this place already or do I need to make one?
-
@spiffymeister
Key is in the palette.
