Would it be possible to change the loot container (specifically the sarcophagus in the final boss area) to a chest or crate or something? It's kind of awkward that the only way to get elven themed lewt is to bust open grandpa's grave.

Omg, are we supposed to break open the graves to get the loot? I always figured they were just there. They never did anything when I interacted with them, and just assumed the quest had no loot. :loudly_crying_face:

Scott Keellip - White Knight, killed by Drow
Sir William the Fearless - Fearless! and nice.
Vardix - Black Dragon cultist. Also killed by Drow.
Nihlos Carver - Fear the Reaper

If you could just open, them, would that be ok?

There are two(?) sarcophagus placeables that spawn loot. One makes sense that it would be a coffin~ but the 2nd one spawns in the boss room (behind the boss). I'm asking if it would be possible to turn this container into something that's not a coffin (like a barrel of pilfered lewts or something) so elves have a chance of getting elf-themed lewts (without desecrating elven graves). If not, I understand, but I wanted to ask anyway!

I dunno, technically, it can, for sure.

I didn't design the quest though so I'd have to ask the person who did, or look at some docs to see if it could be and still make sense.

                Eh, just open it.

They are sarcophagi, but they don't match any of the others in the area. I'd make the argument that there's clearly nobody buried in them, especially if they're filled with loot, so it's not grave-robbing. Just tomb-robbing.

It's still weird and kinda dubious, but okay.

Note that the story of the quest is that a Sembian researcher hired a bunch of mercs who turned out to be bandits to dig around a tomb. There is a very good reason it is an elf who is the final boss ;)
