    Ignoring how uncool it was for shark to urge me to build for kukris on the grounds that the titanium ones are cool, only to pressure a nerf for them later, (fuck you shark.)

    I inherently disagree with the reasoning for removing the massive crit a from the kukris specifically and I will tell you why.

    Kukris do dagger dmg which means they do poopoo damage. They do decent dmg if they crit. Which is what they're built for. But they still won't come close to that falchion dmg because that is a two hander which does big boy dmg.

    Not to mention the sheer number of feats required to wield kukris effectively. If you're using kukris you should be duel wielding. That requires a crazy amount of feats on top of exotic.

    Did the falchion and scimitar need to be nerfed? Probably. Did the kukris? Certainly not.

    Is this all pointless and pedantic because I'm only saying this since I'm the only one stupid enough to use Kukris to begin with and don't even own the titanium kukris in question and never will because I can't be bothered to grind endlessly for them?

    Yes it is. But I maintain my position and am perfectly happy to waste valuable administrative time on this issue.

    I actually agree probably.
    Probably could have been massive crits 1, instead of 2 on those. I'm not sure it's a huge deal though.

    When I make loot though, weapons like kukris and whips and the other sucky ones tend to get the d4, as opposed to the +1 or +2- because they have generally less damage anyway.

    did the dual scimitar fighter thing back before this version of Arabel.

    Had additional crit on both.

    Still didnt out damage the falchions.

    I don't think removing the crit damage from kukris, which are lower damage, will do anythnig but make people not want to use them.

    I also think minor tweaks relating to crit damage IS pedantic. I mean its such a small freakn about. i hardly notice it. its kind of nice because i come from the mindset that critical strikes ought to work like wounds, and cripple the enemy (thats how my home brew works). I am using a Falchion though. But id swap if that makes my argument better. 🐕



  • Yep, some weapons are just better, always gonna be like that.
    Do try with some of the loot here and there though.



  • Thinking on this, kukri probably didn't need the nerf considering it needs Exotic anyways. Definitely not as strong as Scim/falch since those are both martial in comparison.
