There is no transition to leave the quest area.

This very well could be working as intended and I'm just messing it up, but the pull chains, levers, and pillars in the final room don't seem to have any effect in unlocking the door.

Issue was door model with tileset. I placed down an area transition trigger

Did you get a Key from the Chamberlain (Quest Giver)?

Quest giver now provides Darendaal Crypt Key (and strangely 150 xp for just accepting the quest), however it doesn't unlock the door in the crypt.

If it is for a tag, yes. Then it needs to have an s before it since it is a string.
