How awesome is this override? DAMN awesome.
-
Yeah, what Harry said worked, and my FPS have also gone to sh*t.
-
That shader plugin is amazing as well! However it disappears and everything returns to normal if you remove the interface (as I usually do when taking screenshots).
Still, besides that it looks really nice now! Spell effects are even more impressive to boot.
EDIT: Though a little too blurry maybe.
-
How are ppl getting this thing to work properly, dammit? I demand answers, or the bans start!
-
Harry, if you're running a 64-bit OS, copy OpenGL32.dll from C:\Windows\WOW64 instead of System32.
That fixed my FPS, and it runs normally. But I don't see a difference :(

I'll try that today. Thanks.

So purdy. O.O
No thanks on the shader though if thats what it does. Already get 1-2 fps when the server gets laggy. Hopefully the normal override doesn't affect it.
-
BK's fix got the shader running on my machine. 45 FPS on Arabel, all graphics on high. It looks nice, though the bloom is a bit too heavy. Putting it with the override in the OP looks great. My one complaint is that everything is just a little too "busy", if that makes any sense. There's just too much going on.
Did you make sure that you had the right shader files (.cgfx files) in the shader directory?
-
personally i think im gonna wait for 1.2 to come out
-
I also found it too busy and distracting. It looks great though.
-
Any ETA for 1.2?
-
K guys, if you feel the blur is too much (I did) and the bloom to bright (I did) then dump these files over the old ones in your NWShader/Shaders folder.

Should lower them a bit.

the download ticket experied on both of those links :(
The blur/bloom -is- awfully damn over done.
Can't wait for 1.2 though!
-
If this is 1.1 than I can't imagine what 1.2 will do….

Hey folks!
I occasionally Google NWShader, checking for topics like this and anybody having trouble, and ran across y'all's this time. Hope ya don't mind me popping in. ;)If anybody has some nice screenshots (that haven't been posted), would you please send them over. I'd like to get a gallery of user-taken shots together for NWShader.
Now for the problems. If anyone is still having problems getting NWShader working, if you can get some basic details of what's going wrong together I'll see what I can do to help with it.
@Kathrine:

Yeah, it is. I'm working on that. Bloom is a pain to get working right, so that was just a quick working version. :)
New links.

Might last longer
Nice tweaks. Mind if I add them to the official forum (or would you mind posting copies of them over there)?

Hello friends,
My friend peachy is right,
And to be clearer, NWNCQ and NWShader are two distinct projects created by two distinct contritutors, Peachykeen for NWshader and me (Chico400) for NWNCQ.
Peachykeen's NWshader project is a shader to add bloom, Deep of fied, SSAO and other very cool effects.
My NWNCQ project is a retexturing (with pseudobloom & pseudo bumpmapping), added trees, pillars, terrain deformations, 3d landscapes, ceillings, other build-in models, and a pseudo-random vegetation generator for nearly all bioware & DLA tilessets.
You can use one of the project without the other, or the two together (i recommand that) as my friend peachy and i make our projects hand in hand to be, not only fully compatibles, but also to allow them to exploit full power of the other.
We try this way to reduce the graphical gap between NWN1 and actual games and to help a little this wonderfull game to live even more years. For my project; new version NWNCQ v1.2 Beta, with all ceillings, will be available on the 1st April, in 3 days, for 2 week of users tests before becoming gold. So if you want to post bugs or wish lists(for v1.3) you can do it on my NWNCQ's nwvault page.
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=7848
There will be two overrides versions in V1.2, one BASIC(less polygones), one EXTENDED(more polygones), and one hak version (extra polygones).
To aswer to your question, the pseudobloom for lampposts and brasiers have been removed to not hurt nwshader's bloom.
I 've kept only my animated lensflares on thoses, so i think i'll prefert the new version.hope you'll like next NWNCQv1.2 friends ;)
chico400.
ps: sorry for my bad english it's not my mother tongue ^^

Hey both of you, nice to see you take an interest in comunities that sometimes use your works. And thanks for your work, makes the game so much prettier. :)

Seems to be causing a lot of lag…will later versions fix this?
