What are some of your favorite magical items from D&D (especially those suitable for NWN but not in our module)?

In the future, there are two simple rules to remember:

      NO SPITTING.

      DO NOT CROSS MISTER MOLOCH.

Weapons of Legacy. Basically weapons that work like monk kits. More requirments you fulfill the more powerful the weapon is.

I once gave a weapon to one of my 3.5 players that made a wisecrack every time they landed a killing blow. The way it worked was every attack they'd roll a D6 to determine what kind of bonus damage (Fire, Frost, Acid, Electric, Holy, Unholy) and if they killed someone I picked a relevant pun from a list of them I either made up or found on the internet (Or in frosts case, Batman and Robin.)

The players tried to get rid of it after the first session it debuted in by chucking it off a cliff, so I made it cursed to forever return to him while the player slept.

Doubt something like this is possible in NWN, but it's still my favorite magic item I ever made.

Magpie [17:05] I am begining to notice that people have my quotes within their signitures on the forums <_<

                  Ring of invisibility

If Chuck Norris had performed in 300, the film would be called 1.

Ioun Stones Havnt seen one of those in COA for yeeeaarrs.
Not nessearily from D&D but things I think could work well.

Item to create a short-term Portal between it and it's sister item. Like a Signalling Device, but makes a portal

                      Ring of invisibility, as mentioned

"Hotseats Plus" - like a hotseat but had ability to be reset to a different location. (Had actually suggested this to Ruby IC)

Ability to put charges into Wands, etc. Perhaps by casting of the spell. Like 5 castings=1 charge. Would promote interaction.

Ability to create socket gems. High level spell (aka Permamance) with large material cost and/or reagant needed that creates a gem suitable to accept another spell. Somewhat like charging a potion bottle. Random chance it is flawless/flawed/crippled. Allows creation of 1x/day spell socketgem, wiht limits on spell level

Crystal Balls (No idea how scrying could be implemented, except maybe by making user ethereal, moving them there for duration, paralysing them, and restricting them from emoting/talking)

Deck of many things and wand of wonder (I actually had a deck of cards in CoA with multiple effects but they weren't random)

Dragonhelm (Basic helm with dragon motif, fear 1 use per day, scare 4 times per day. Gave the wearer megalomania, narcissism and forced you to horde half your gold, preferably in keep or cave in a large pile.)

Chainsword. +2 vs treants and other wood based creatures.

Intelligent weapons. (maybe a +1 sword when activated would work like a wizard familiar with a special ability like open lock)

                          Returning throwing axes

Sharpened shield/ Shield of Bashing: (maybe a shield that gives you dirty fighting feat for free)

                          This bow:

Nikko. Semi-passive observer of CoA since 2003.
