Who are we?
-
Robert was my best character, aka Bob. He did a lot of jobs for a lot of people and was almost killed by Helmar Bloodchurn, and almost got a bunch of people to kill Helmar Bloodchurn. I found out about a lot of plots and personal secrets in a short period of time with him, did a lot of cheating and backstabbing, working for many people. Since I knew of the double crossings, but not the whole details of these plots I still can't talk about them for fear of spoilers. I made an insane amount of money for just selling information or doing odd jobs for people. Died exploring the underdark just outside a drow city.
Meir, my first character in Arabel, that was shaped and influenced by all the things that happen to him in the city. Focused in Necromancer School later on in his carrier seeking power in the weave and out of frustration or for the need of revenge. Felt like I was getting nowhere with him, and it became extremely frustrating and hard to play with him so I retired.

So here we go
Samar Al'Khazid: A maskarran burglar from Westgate, running away from his past. My first character to be involved in a few things and a character that lived the longest of all I ve played. He started out as an info gatherer for Bhalir associates when retainer Greymourn and Amsterdam where around. Immediately after Amsterdam vanished (somewhat of a mentor) he joined the maskarran cult which he found about by pure luck (thanks to Raven, the most sinister character I met and got to know, she was purely awesome), and they organised a few burglaries in various noble houses (which still where some of the best DM quests I ve had here).
When the faction begun to diminish he created the cunning hawks company of mercs, which was basically a gathering of murderers and cutthroats to find "talents" to promote into the maskarran faction. The company was hired by a noble house from Sembia (Ravenshield if I remember correctly, and Sam was made man at arms and retainer. Also most members of the company didnt know we where actually Ravenshields guard, to keep them thinking the company is legitimate. Was the most potent moment of the character I think but… it was then that I had to retire for a bit, so he passed leadership to Walker Cain (See Rel's chars). The company ended up with its members killing each other which I find a fitting end for it. (See Smirnoff's character, Boutrus, killing Walker Cain, again, Relonor's character, Noomsie the talonan wizard was also murdered I think, Capntomato should clarify really...)Upon return to the server he joined the adventurer's guild purely for his ego and profit, and changing a bit as a character towards neutral (he was NE), basically because of Novo Mundus (even though he did requested a few assassinations from Samar...never happened though)
In the end I ended him in battle of Gromfia, where he took part as a purple dragon associate to help reestablish Cormyrean rulership in Arabel (he hated the Phoenix legion cause he consider it the main cause for the fall of Maskarran influence around.) He died there as the lag was intolerable and never found out who killed him because I couldnt tell, I think it was that Velssarun Half orc though.
Still the character I got attached to and liked the most. Great fun. I sill wish I hadnt end him...for some of samar's good moments see Armitage's post here, yes he is thief number 1: /topic/145
Norinierdir Dwin' Annea: A priest of Corellon trying to establish a council. Accomplished to gather elves together with the help of Belad, a retainer of DeSchurr, and he was played as a diplomat mostly, trying to keep balances with the always chaotic elves, hardest race to get together and organise by far I think ever since.. He died relatively quick in the battle f Eastway after I got a bit bored with him and without accomplishing anything worthwhile that I remember.
Now searching for my next hopefully fun and interesting concept… feel free to Pm for reqruiting any time...

Suppose I'll throw this in, just for the hell of it. I don't really remember much about any of my characters.
Rift Drell: My first character, and it really shows. I played him on and off for more than a year. He was a pirate-turned-adventurer. Bit of a womanizer at first, until he met Elrilia. No notable achievements, though at one point he was planning to join the Militia. OOC problems muffed that up, though. I guess he got cold feet when he realized that they have the life expectancy of a fish out of water? Lot of OOC problems with Rift. Many regrets.
Karin Brown: My favorite character, and the one many people probably know me for (If anyone still remembers either of us.) My longest played character, too (I don't have a time-frame, but it was a long bloody time.) She started off pretty aimless, mostly a market-sitter with occasional questing, but she got into rather a lot of trouble. She drank like a dwarf and sometimes spoke like a sailor. Had a turbulent relationship with Myra (Which ended up with her breaking into the Eclestian enclave at one point, on her own, my absolute dumbest action on the server.) She was a member of the Gleaming Blades for a while, before going on to become one of the founding members of the Iron Wings where she eventually became second-in-command. And then she joined the Phoenix Legion and did what she could to assist the war effort (Which was next to nothing, as far as I can tell.)
Honorable mention: Rowan Marsk. She didn't really go anywhere. A failed character, is the best way to put it. RL problems came up at a point where the character wasn't particularly enjoyable, and I just couldn't bring myself to come back to her.

Well , I guess I'd better post my phails too!
Fell Halaf was your standard Tempun , honorable and destructive. He was a character mostly to get around , and learn the ropes…and qwezt loike yur nutz. He had a thing for a not so sparkling vamp , and eventually got trolled by an orc invashun...don't ask me how that happenned. He's very much dead now.
Darrian Aedan was my two-hander min/max-ed elf , not much to say about him , he , on the other hand , had a thing for a half-elf , but got turned down several times. He got into a deadly fight with Mather Sane , decapitating him , and then , rather than staying in the city , where he-thought-there would be assassins going for his head , he went with the party to kill Xhoo , and in the final moments of the fight , the dragon beat up my poor little elfie , but! In a fit of desparation , I WLed him , only to find him-still-in my vault the next day! I took this as a sign and respawned him. But…he's more or less retired now anyway.
Dumah (of Torm) Was my favourite side character , the kind of priest of Torm that smited the evil on the quests with awesome buffed up Greataxe crits. His favourite quote was "Death or healing , I care not which you seek". He had a very long fight with Orson Crowley , one , which almost ended him , he kept swinging that sword at the ting, getting a few lucky hits in , and healing himself from Near Death to Uninjured much to Crowley displeasure. In the end , he was beaten up , but Crowley was scared off before he could kill ole Dumah. He's more or less retired now too , gave up his epic armor and made a generous donation to an adventuring group.
And now…Shani is my longest lived character on CoA , months on end , actually , so , since this li'l ol' elf is still alive and active , I wont say much.

Talnor Haefrin - Human LN alchemist and construct summoner, tried to create several times a player Mage's Guild before the Civil War and always failed. Renomed for his careless Fireballs and hordes of Animatrons, you could think he came too early either for the Mage's Guild or CoG. He always used to sing mad-Lovecraft-like songs while he was distracted. Got an apprentice for himself then felt in love with her. But his deception with his own research made him more and more insane and aerial until she broke up, tried to fit in several organizations after that, even criminal ones and still failed. Died in some low level quest in a shameful way.
Daltuur Arniman - A LN hoaran dual wielding Fighter/Rogue who expecialized in maces and roguish tricks. Was ugly as hell and did not had many friends, his archievement was to argue with casters of all sorts who were scaring citiziens with magic and plotted the death of a few proeminent villains. Got beaten by the Mercenaries of the Adventurer's Guild and then banished from there.
Reno Phelias - A LG Mage, started as an investigator of the Paranormal who never found a case, ended up in the Guild where he focused in seeking misuses of magic whenever he could see. Was involved in several projects of the Guild and a few diplomatic questions until was accepted as an Apprentice. Then he ventured all over the server in search for reagents. In one of those trips with Dante Sane and a few others they met Hazil, so you could blame Reno for being the cause of all that, heh. Got tired of all this when his cohorts either died, stopped playing or turned openly evil. Stopped playing for months for RL issues and for family loss. Came back, now out of the Guild and now trying to find his Path, again.

Joe Scarlet - Cleric of Chauntea, Died lvl 7
My first serious character from literally years ago. I originally designed him as a Robin Hood type character, although the concept changed with time. He went into the House deschuur adventuring company and I created a spy network to act as a pain in the ass to evil doers. Joe's most famour apprentice was Trystan of Trystans Trade who went onto great things.
Joe went from spy master, to deschuur adventuring company to in the end setting up a adventuring company faction all within his life time.
With Joe I really enjoyed causing massive conflict and most of the city in fairness wanted to kill him at one point or another, this was fun as too many concepts were too safe with not enough conflict. Joe was fond of duels and cheating if he could get away with it. He killed a certain Thond Retainer by summoning three lions, ya got to love chaotic righteous good. He died in the end in a duel when I foolishly fought fair with him, although he had a good running.
Luthor Black - Cleric of Velsharoon, Died lvl 8
- My favourite character of all time. He vas ze velsharoon cleric vho spoke vith ze classic undead villian accent. Id had lots of fun with the Velshie faction before but wanted to try a more bold concept. Instead of the classic hide in the sewers/graveyard/three bars type of velsharoon cult, I went for something no one quite expected.
I set up a openly velsharoon knight based order called the Blood Knights which I was forced to rename the Blood Dragons by those pesky Knights of the Merciful Sword. For the concept I mixed in elements of the romantic vampire myth, the seeking power whatever the cost, the idea of the spartans from the film 300 and ideas stolen from the Blood Dragon vampire faction from warhammer.
The Blood Dragons was this insanely brave unholy order of warriors with a macho lawful code. It was hilarious as Luthor was actually lawful and kept his word although as all the other lawful factions were mostly good no one realy trusted him.
His goal (and not all character goals have to be realistic OOC only IC) was to obtain vampirism. He really freaked a lot of players out when he drank 'red wine' after a good battle and some characters actually ran out of meetings with him screaming.
I had fun intimidating lots of factions including some which had characters which were mechanically a lot more powerful than Luthor and with much better gear. Rp really is everything, if you have a character who has a reputation as a bold warrior, who tends to complain that all foes are too weak and petty for him and tends to charge laughing towards the biggest scariest thing he can find in the hope he can find something 'almost' challenge worthy to fight, it really does help with intimidation. Incidently Luthor had sucky gear.
Died in the end to another velshie cleric assassinating him in a surprise ambush. He really wasnt that powerful without his magics mechanically and well kudos to the player for actually pulling it off. I swear in general the biggest cause of death for velshie clerics isnt paladins or vigilantes its other more ambitious velshie clerics.
Marcus Wrath - Fighter of Garagos lvl 6 semi-retired
As I had played several characters who had led factions and as Id played mostly high charisma, high wisdom clerics I wanted to do something really quite different. The dms wrote a thread saying they would like to see a few pure class fighters running around and that no one seemed to use exotic weapons in general.
My answer was to make a truly hideously deformed (cha 8), pure fighter who used a double axe with a rough plan to play as someones henchman for a while and to follow a few plot threads of other factions.
I got inducted initially into a thief faction ran by Dante Sane and Marcus was the one who originally started talking to Haziel, as I reasoned a insane blood thirsty maniac would be foolish and greedy enough to actually try and make a deal with a devil, which was fun as most of his associates had a positive wisdom score and initially tried to stop him. This in turn of course led to Dante going black guard which led to a lot of fun on the server.
What made Marcus fun to use initially became tedious with time. As he was a crackpot who followed the god of war he would charge everything even when I knew he would die horribly, which he did really often, Ive clocked more deaths with marcus than with almost every other concept I have played, without a shield, as he used a double weapon and without tumble ac he mechanically sucked and there were only so many times you could charge the insanely powerful monster or groups of monsters because it was precisely right to do so ICly and die before it became annoying.
Edward Stormfist - Lvl 6 Barbarian of Talos, Active
I created Edward as part of a joint concept with my real life bro (dracospirit) with a vision of creating a truly religeous fundamentalist Talos faction. Although Ed was a barb he did his fair bit of preaching, encouraging people to turn to Talos to save their souls and talking of the unholy power of the storm. I had some other plans for Ed which didnt come to fruitition as one of the pcs at home died, then when it was fixed my bro brought starcaft 2 which has him (and me) occupied. Although I might reboot him at a later date.

Amyweig Veln.sorc level 12
First character made alot of mistakes with her but was alot of fun best achivement was corruting a level 12 cleric.Executed.Richo.rogue9 ranger 1
Rogue merchant got invited to join the dm thieves guild and turned it down as was working with the thayans.Best thing he did was selling a pair of master worked boots to somone in the abyss.Got scrificed to tiamat for walking into a cave.Alysa.
Fighter level 10
Started life as a joint concept with a group of devil worshipers carried on after they died off and ended up running the westgate gang, murdered 4 characters by level 5 and killed joe scarlet in the arena at 8,Tried to run an extorstion racket against the merchants trystans trade mainly but the group lost intrest after carring out a few hits and suffering from alot of meta gaming and members being openly murdered in the market by pot helm wearing dwarves.
Finaly died in the rebelion by the pheonix legion fighting under contract for the purples.Lilly hillow..ongoing.
as her discription says ..Small cute and totaly trustworthy.
The best at what she does in the city shame it's useless on quests  -
Jestin Krows: Gentleman, backstabber, Informant, Dueler, Assassin, Merchant… The friend of everybody, for the right price that is... I still remember how I bolstered the highest parry I ever saw myself, and even used it to parry a dragon that I later poisoned with Dragon Bile... those were the times.
Deron Galloud: "Knight of the Market". Self Proclaimed Knight, member of a (later) cursed Order (most likely) of the Black Dragons of Cormyr. Leader, commander, the dishonorable Knight. Started off as a Barbarian concept. I presume the only Knight ever with Barbarian levels.Dredo Grenessen: Necromancer, and proud of it. Not so much a schemer, but researcher. Public opinion is not important, as long as you discover something new. Also, he hates it when Undead and abominations storm his house.
Three I can remember from the tip of my mind.
-
All my guys are played as “extra’sâ€
-
I am also Gallant, and I have a post in Pg. One of the thread, but updating a little to include…
Karla Jarshald, Red Hart who started off in one of the OC's mod's, the ShadowGuard one. I spent like a half hour beating the mod, then sat back and was like, "Damn these fuckers, they only half completed this and I like this character." This is because I tend to sit back and dream up little things about all characters I make, and I felt annoyed I couldn't see the story to its conclusion.
So I yanked her out of the setting, kept the name and the general outlook/attitude, and dropped her in Arabel.
If there were two words to describe the character, it would have to be "Bullheaded Crusader" due to her two driving tendancies. She's impossible to dissuade once she sets herself on something, and she's generally LN leaning towards LG in her outlook on things. If she thinks she's right there is absolutely no power in the world capable of dissuading her from it. I put her towards the Red Harts, but her loud mouth, course upbringing, and tendancy to overstep her bounds every once in a while has made her a poor match.
Still, fun to play.
See you in-game? Har har har.
-
Over more years than I care to count, I've gathered up a pretty long list of old characters that you've never heard of. Alot of them where memorable for me, at least :P Mostly the halflings. I like my halflings…
Playing Chand Ashweed at the moment, who happens to be a halfling. ^_^
-
My turn, I guess.
The first character I'd classify as a 'main' would have been…
Landril
Elf, Male, Fighter 10/Cleric 2
The third ever PC Guard (Dracor of Gondor and some dwarf I don't remember came first, iirc). After a long time, I retired him … then rebuilt/returned the character as a Purple Dragon and quickly got tired of him again.Lyra
Elf, Female, Cleric 14 (I think).
Back in CoA2, there was no regulation of what domains you could choose for your clerics. Or even of your chosen deity. I was still a n00b so initially invented a deity and took powerful domains, just for laughs. Later that got changed to being a cleric of Lliira and the character didn't turn out all that badly. Probably most famous for constantly running around in circles around other characters until they passed out from dizziness.CoA2 ended. Xania came along and levelled the City. CoA3 came in with a rebuilt setting and everyone having empty server vaults. I still have a screenshot of everyone on the new Road To Arabel in a line, waiting to get in.
Kyra De'syr
Elf, Female, Rogue/Ranger (11/1, iirc).
Almost certainly my favourite character so far. Started off with the simple concept of 'social rogue' and she did a fair bit of buying/selling information to lots of different groups. Eventually joined House DeSchurr when it was at it's most awesome. I left CoA for a while, usually coming back every few months for a couple of weeks (Uni took all my time, otherwise). Kyra rebuilt the DeSchurr faction twice after numbers dropped off and did a lot of cool stuff. Eventually was made House Captain, no mean feat since the character avoided melee like the plague. The character ran it's course and the MrC (now going under a different DM name, the shifty sod) agreed to turn Kyra into a NPC - who still stands outside the DeSchurr estate.Calundil
Elf, Male, Sorceror 7
A quick side character for when a break was needed. Loved to stop and study things; for example, in the stonelands he'd stop and study fungi growing on a rock while goblins attacked his party and be completely oblivious to them. Died during the Ashby Sewer quest after the frontline disintegrated at that final door.Trog
Human, Male, Barbarian/Rogue (don't recall levels).
Another quick side character. Ended up being employed as a bouncer/enforcer in the Three Bars by Kinaru (best PC villain ever!). Wore chainmail and used a greatsword and thus his death was almost pre-ordained. During a stonelands goblin quest, every single goblin visible saw him and decided he'd look better with their arrows in his face. His pitifully low AC meant he died quickly.Morich Leonson
Human, Male, Fighter/Ranger/Rogue (4/4/3)
Started off extremely well and being in the PDs/WWs with CR and Shea was some of the best fun I've ever had on the server. CR and Shea left and Morich was eventually made a Lionar - which meant he was in charge of the other PC members. Got a kill shot on a really powerful dragon and was regarded well by a lot of people. Had a no nonsense mentality and would often walk up to people being silly and knockdown punch them before walking off again, knowing his message had gotten across nice and clear. Had a lot of fun with Loony's PD Tracker and others as well.
CoA3 was drawing to a close and that meant factions like the PDs were being closed down - I got into some … bitter disagreements over various things with some of the DMs and quit.Skip forward a couple of years and I dropped back in to see how the server was going.
Selsal Thervain
Elf, Female, Ranger/Rogue (5,4)
Found the character in my vault (lvl 3 at the time) though couldn't remember making it. Guess I did it before I left. Decided to go with the flow. Decided that she'd side with whichever 'team' found her first - good or evil. Team Good(ish) got there and so she ended up siding with the Court. Ended up playing a role in getting Lhal back on the Throne.
Got the elf community back together without being a leader of it and did a whole lot of stuff which seems to have consequences to this day.
Died on a DM quest trying to cleanse the Hullack Forest, along with the rest of the party (though some respawned).Romar Farmerson
Human, Male, Cleric/Fighter (currently 7/1)
Current character, started off as a fill in until I could think of something better but seems to be going along rather well right now. Has a hand in quite a few plots so I can not say much else right now. -
Lyra? Wasnt she Elrath's girlfriend?
-
Oh ryr, you're gonna die a slow painful death for suggesting that…
-
Basically just:
Aaeri Linu (Ranger 3/Rogue 2/Barbarian2)
Crazy and stupid wood elf Green Dragon. Died on the warehouse quest so many times that she wound up level 1 and I gave up.Ulayne Umi (Wizard 7/Fighter 2)
She was originally created as an evoker fireball-flinging wizard, but she evolved into some sort of utility spellsword/whatever needed. Was part of House Fezznick before the faction died, then was almost a Stark Wyvern when she was Gamwell's pupil. She then joined the Black Dragons and stayed with them on and off. Due to my time-constraints, she was only really heavily involved in a few Stark Wyvern plots as Gamwell's sidekick and most of the lycanthrope war as a Black Dragon. Also one of the few Loyalists that survived through the Civil War and tried to start up Crown-based player factons afterwords.I've had a great run with her, and she was by far the best char I played on Arabel. She's pretty much retired by this point, though, since five years is enough.
I hope to play shorter-lived more involved concepts in the future though.
-
played a whole heap of characters that did pretty much nothing other than be random adventurers.
the Main ones of note that I felt I managed to achieve anything with were:
Ko'Gar - Half-orc Velsharoonite. Initially started out in Raice Bannons little Gang "the Brood" while simultaneously running with the velshie cult at the time. Joined the wyvernwater malitia. Got booted out and then help Sarog rise to power and infamy as his enforcer. Died fighting a random Ice Giant spawn.
Mars Swiftson A barbarian toatlly enamoured with his own physical perfection who joined the Bhaliir Vanguard and died very quickly thereafter.. didn't last very long but I had a blast playing him.
Auros Keene - Luckbringer and protoge` of Baron Darmos during the civil war.. hung out with The two militia brother Goons (can't remeber there names but one loved east way pies – much <3 to you two) And died in some civilwar fighting.
Honest Quin A Rogue I made to spam quests who took on a life of his own. Had some fun with Candlekeep Praetorians before taking a backseat to Eyrik. (still kicks around when Im between concepts.)
Eyrik Grimloch Rashemi Gangster who set up shop as the First Sheriff of gromfia. Good time trying to move all those illicit substances into the city while trying to keep tabs on all the assassination attempts on gromf.
Sir Aegar Morler Red Hart Knight Templar. took a stand when the city was in chaos and saw to putting Lhal on the throne with a bunch of other people. probably one of the most personally entertaining characters I've played. Met some great RP'rs with this concept who had been kicking around the server for as long as i have yet whom i'd never seemed to cross paths with.
Twitch Kobold shaman from the Gromfian clan hell bent of destroying Arabel in revenge for killing Gromf.. Unfortunately Real Life jumped in and I had to bail on this character before I really got going
-
Lets see…
Marcus Nightcrawler (2 fighter /1 ranger/9 Rogue)
was my first… ahem... succesful character on CoA. Marcus became a Fezznick retainer. However, because my english was shit, I couldnt understand the difference between Fezznick / Helms vigilant... and vigilante... (True story!) Eventually got kicked out of house Fezznick, managed to get killed about 20 times, mostly by Pyatt Pree. Is known amongst most dms and veterans on CoA as the halfling who got catapulted over the city walls by the asassin Kale. Was eventually executed for trying to kill a corrupt Purple Dragon Lionar.Selene Forestwalker. (Ranger 5/Cleric of Solonor 6) was my elven council elder. Part of the Elven slaughter, she took on the evil group known as The Wheel. Was eventually executed by the Warwizards for murder.
Nathan Greenhill(Cleric 10 of Arvoreen) Was made due to the entire server being sick of evil halfling rogues in black with hoods. Wanted to try and make a -real- halfling. Did just that. A stern and insanely strict halfling, he gathered quite a following, think we made it to 8 arvoreen followers. Became a House of Dead member. Alot of fun for a while, then i quit and never got back into it.
Nayah Carpenter(ranger 11 / rogue 1). I was conceptless, and a discussion came up on irc because everyone said pure rangers couldnt survive. So, I made her out of spite, an elven ranger of Shaundakul. My first real succes as a player. She became one of the most mechanically powerful characters at the time. I only ever lost 1 tournament out of about 20 or so. She became a Thond retainer, and insanely wealthy, running a large spy network. She was eventually taken down by Members of The Unseen Hand during a caravan guarding trip. But while that did happen, she almost managed to take on every enemy and beating them down. She was the Thonds spear head against the Grey Circle. During her funeral the Grey Circle stole her body and turned her into a powerful undead. Which my later character then killed, hehe. She has a permanent tomb in Elfhold. She was the apprentice of Janus Greycastle, aka Wanderer.
Rebecca Kelten(Rogue 4/ Fighter 6/bard 1).
My first harper. Started out as Katebs spy in House Bhaliir. Was found out before she could ever become a retainer however. Was instead recruited by the Harpers after the Bresk Finale when all other harpers died. As a cover she became Captain of The Deschurran Green Dragons where she met Cordova, a Tymoran Bard and later Harper. The two became partners in crime, and were the next generation of Harpers after SFP became a dm.
She worked almost openly despite being a harper, and along with Cordova was -the- vigilante force to be reckoned with. Good friends with Lilyis (Sheas Alarphon) and more or less had immunity to the law.
It was Lilyis who assisted in faking an execution for murder to get asassins off Rebeccas back, where the warwizards summoned an illusion of a Purple Dragon to eat Rebecca.
She then became Sasha of Westgate. Was the cities spearhead against the Grey Circle.
Was eventually killed during the Wyvernwater Bugbear finale.
At her end, she and Cordova had around 50 spies around the city, and a kill count if memory serves me right of around 35 evil characters.
Evil…Snowstorm was it?Jessica Winters My knight of The Merciful Sword, lasted no more than a month. Cake killed her off in an undead attack on the city…
Laura Greymourne My only ever succesful attempt at evil. Laura was a Senior retainer in House Bhaliir. Never really succeeded much, except killing a whole lot of people. She had that problem with high intelligence but low wisdom that allows you to get alot of wicked plans without much hope of getting them through. I had the pleasure of having bodyguards by both LaF -and- Lizardman!
Was killed by a very nasty orgre. You evil Hinx!Drogyn Ravenshield I wanted to get on the awesome that was The Trystan Trade train. Served as a scout and minion. Committed suicide by combat when he failed to protect Trystan against the sharrans. Almost killed one too, before they managed to kill him off. First lawful char that survived more than a month.
Sarah Steelgate My semi succesful attempt at lawful. Priestess of Helm, she ran the Helm community for a while. Died during the Red Dragon finale.
Kendrick Tallis My pacifist Phoenix Legion soldier. Became a sergeant, and did alot of crazy things including The infamous Legion Bear riders. Had a shit load of fun playing with Jhavier and Mal despite their chaotic tendencies! Sold his soul to get another chance at life, yet couldnt live with himself for doing it. Was purified by the Witch Hunter flames and was shown a spoiler that to this day I have never talked about. Thank you for the awesome ending Deadlock!
Darius Falex The Mullidapov Gypsy thief and priest of Brandobaris. Had tons of fun in the beginning alongside some very impressive roleplayers. My first playing with Lamancha! and Syntax! However Real Life came in the way and when i returned the others were missing and Clar Banda has become a force to be reckoned with.
Became a member of The Adventuring Guild instead and a true undead hunter. Convinced Rabbit to gather the poem pieces and turn towards Lhal instead of Darmos… And look how THAT TURNED OUT!
He eventually died in a one on one battle with a Beholder.Lady Katelyn Obarstal The biggest failure as a goal plan but likely the most influential character i have had in many years. A would be knight who by fate it would seem had the world turn its back on her. Became a Pirate Lord instead which was a wicked twist of events. Sadly RL came in the way again, and I have now retired her.

Awesome thread, makes me feel obliged to contribute.
These are the characters I've had the most fun with, but there are of course many more in between.
Floyd - First real character. A young boy who mostly followed Elsbeth around, which lead to a lot of both adventure and intrigue (thanks). Didn't really have much experience with roleplaying at this time and the character was fleshed out as I was playing him. Turned out pretty well and I learned a lot. In the end he was a follower/servant and a very loyal Loviatan, even willing to die for his masters.
Alfred Hooks - I think this was the character that followed up directly after Floyd actually. This one had a more solid background, more defined persona and even some goals. He was a cleric of Velsharoon who set up a facade of being good - an archeologist and historian interested in old tombs and old cities and the likes. He was buying corpses from the more shady characters however, when he thought no one was looking, and eventually met his end to a trap laid by the competing House of Death (or was it The Dead?).
Xaemar sar Dumai - A one armed halfling druid of Talos. This one was probably the character with the most detailed history so far. Was lacking a bit on the goal side and unfortunately spent a lot of time doing nothing at all. Still one of the most memorable characters, for me, due to the colorful and interesting friendships he had with both the members of the druid circle and woodland people. His big mouth put him a lot of trouble, which was quite funny.
Kwalu - After many characters that I never really grew fond of, and that didn't really last that long, I decided to change nickname and somehow "start anew". This one turned out to be the most fun character so far. He was a callous cleric of Helm with pretty much no feelings whatsoever. Duty was number one and his will was as hard as his polished halberd. Took part in the Civil War, and lost, but didn't loose his pride.
After Kwalu I had a few characters, but again never stuck with any of them. Took a long break, and now I'm back with an evil character. Hopefully to last a little longer. :D

Reading some of these just made me all happy inside, thinking back fondly to some of my interactions with some awesome players. While I never really had much of an impact here, I was able to play with some of those legendary characters that have graced these previous posts. Thanks to all of you, who have helped me learn a lot.
As for myself, I guess this is who I've played:
Terminus Praetori: My first "main" if you want to call it that. Tempan Cleric that somehow got scooped up by the likes of some great RPers that had comprised the old Green Dragons of House DeSchurr. Back in those days, Spruce_Goose led the charge as a Retainer there. I also ran into some crazy cat playing a Tymoran named Marin. I think his name was Soc-Major. Unfortunately, it was so long ago that I hardly remember a lot of the account names, and they've since moved on to other games and servers. Still, while he started with virtually no concept, thanks to their awesome input, he was probably the most "flesh-and-blood" character I've had to date.Charir Mar'Kevessa: Cleric of Tiamat who had a brief career as a villain, when being a villain was in style. Through this character's life, he bumped into some old evil folks, and met some new ones, including Tobin Sett, the sewer dwelling Cult of Shar, and a fanatical half-orc (who I've unfortunately forgotten the character name) that joined team Tiamat and cemented himself as one stellar RPer, with a climactic death in Operation Firestorm. Oh, and let's not forget a certain Gnome: "Is Ruperts!"
Caleb Beaumont: My first foray into a DM approved faction, this character was a Fezznick Retainer-boy, in a time when the House system was falling apart on the server. Involved in a plot to infiltrate the City Guards, Purple Dragons, and numerous other authority groups, he was eventually disgraced by being thrown out of House Fezznick, and fading into total obscurity, dying in the streets of the city during some sort of demon invasion event.
Neathon Amounar: A lesson learned character who had just too much of a story going. Mystran cleric and member of the Mage's Guild, he spanned a time of great change on the server, when we went from v3 to v4. I was privleged to play with some outstanding roleplayers in the mage's guild, including Els's elven mage, Glork, Luminary's necromancer, and a score of other wonderful personalities. His story remains unfinished, sadly, due to my rapidly changing work schedule.
Hektor Szarrin: A back to basic approach, Hektor Szarrin returned me to a simple sort of character that had a basic backstory which has slowly been building. He came in as nothing, and is slowly maturing in his own story.
Thanks to everyone who's helped along the way. Some great memories from reading all your own stories.

Alora Freeman - She was an aisimar cleric of Selune. First character I ever played and by far the one with the most interesting story. Right away I was sucked into what to me seemed like a major plot in the Shadovar war. Major achievement was opening the gates of the moon, thereby releasing some "exiles" from the Netherese enclave Opus.
Clark Medas - This was my first and only attempt at playing evil. This was by far the most productive character I played. He was the head retainer for "King" Bhaliir for a short time. Had some very interesting character reactions with him. He also had the best ending of any character I had. A damn Intillect Devourer burst out of his stomach
Lia'edanna Nightstar - This was an attempt at bringing more legitimate elves into a player faction. Lots of ups and downs and eventually things fell apart (Like they always seem to do with elven factions). She was by far my favorite character to the point where I will still play her in my normal D&D games. She's died, came back, and left Arabel. She's, as far as COA is concerned, over played.
Xerxus - This was a short lived character, but he was the most . . . developed? He was a Fey'ri with multiple personality disorder. Would constantly change his appearance to escape detection. The common "persona" that most people met was Karsus, a self proclaimed gentalmen thief. He was part of the NoWhere faction. I left his ending open.
Jonah Stone - Current character. Find him to learn more.
