To your great pleasure or dismay, I have been considering a brief return to this game I love to death (Well, mostly the RP I love to death). It will be a limited return as I don't exactly have a buttload of time to dump into a character, though I was thinking on a Monday or Tuesday I could drop in with a goody-two-shoes elf type character. If you know me it comes as no surprise I'd choose that type of character, as I am fairly type-casted. Anyways I hope to see you in game, and drop any suggestions below.

Truth is that the literary section needs an entire revamp. I am planning to use panels to make that a lot easier to look at and browse. I just want to be careful I don't make them too big and confusing.
Active links for the contact section was something I had been lazy about, but we are in agreement there.
Media section likewise needs a revamp with panels (As well as picture content) and I was thinking for pics of using a thumbnail system where you click the smaller image and it blows up to cover the screen. So it's all in the works.

Only thing I hadn't thought of was some info on the front page. I'll put something up there that lets people know the webpage is a living work in progress, as well as a portfolio/art board of sorts. LOTS more content to come, I haven't even scratched the surface. Idea at this point was to put out what I had and start building traffic.

How far are you from your wireless access point? If the signal has to go through too many walls, microwaves, etc it can cause the signal to become degraded.

This could also be an issue with your adapter on your laptop.

Best solution is to simply use a cable. You are going to get the best performance that way anyways.

The origional "statement" was that to be involved you have the do the right things and ally with the right people. It was also that things do not, as Zool put, fall in your lap (Except very rarely. Even then, you still need to do the right things and have the right allies). You have to create opportunity, and not hamper it.

I've been hearing alot of accusations lately of elitism. Honestly this isn't fair. It seems to me that some people are expecting to immediately be involved, immediately get followers, immediately have doors open for them but behave in a way IC that doesn't warrant it. I am not going to list examples, but they are numerous. The fact of the matter is this. Nothing is freely given, it is earned.

If you want to be involved you have to play a character that can either mesh into a current group well enough to function, or you have to be smart enough to be able to set the trends and have people model after you. Characters that are mean and un-likable do not attract more nice characters for the sake of adventure. Characters of conflicting attitudes tend to only work together when there is little alternative.

To end the rant, if elitism were occurring to the extent I see some people suggest, DMs would step in. DMs would not support players who were exclusive rather than inclusive. But just because DMs expect players to be inclusive does not mean you instantly involve anyone who wants in. You need to earn trust and respect amongst characters to gain friends and allies.
