I seek to purchase the Steel Double-Axe that you have made available for sale. I can be reached at the Eveningstar Garrison.
For King and Country!
Royal Scout Jocelyn Blackwood
This trivia thread brought a smile to my face today! The old Arabel was…so much fun. I missed out on v2 I'm afraid, but v3 was SWEET. I will forever remember the Houses DeSchurr, Fezznick, and Thond with fondness. The KoMS, original battles with Clar Banda...some amazing times.
Right. I thought that system was still in place!
I remember when I was an absolute noob to Arabel Ulayne asked Llyis Wellington to search some thief that stole the treasure from a quest, and she got mad at Ulayne when she didn't find it. Obviously years ago, but the system still works from what I kno.
The Queen is out of the picture, and we must deal with the traitor Kreswell.
Perhaps I was too quick to forsake my allegiance to the True King. His forces were decimated when Kreswell betrayed Cormyr. Soon, revenge will come. It will be a sweet day indeed.
The Covenant of Justice is the new method by which revenge shall be served. They start a just rebellion, and if I can get them the Guild's support, the Sheriffs will fall and Arabel will be returned to those who can govern it well.
How shall we acquire the Baron's staff, though?
More strategy will need to be thought up soon.
Initiative is there so you can win it. Automatically handing the enemy first initiative no matter the modifier does sound a bit unfair.
I've never had any problems with this boss, but I've only done this v4 quest on my powerbuild cleric. Killed him in one hit once, even.
I do see how its unfair if he can attack during the dialog and you can't (he's still a blue NPC, maybe get faction-bugged for it?). No idea how to fix that and make it fair, though…
The quest in itself is a cakewalk compared to the v3 warehouse, the only quest that I just -didn't- do for fear of TPK.
Who am I?
For the past few years, I have been Ulayne Umi, servant of the King. Ulayne Umi, soldier of the Crown. For King and Country!
Today…I saved the life of the person I had sworn to see fall. I swore I would see Queen Veneith fall and the Crown return to Arabel. But today, seeing the young Queen bleeding profusely from the demon attack...I just couldn't watch her die. I had to heal her.
I suppose I don't really know if I saved her life...but she was nearly dead before I healed her, and then sustained further injuries. I might have truly saved the Queen's life.
Who then do I serve? I serve the Mage's Guild, and they serve the Queen. Does that mean I am now a soldier of "Free Arabel"? Of the Hullack Kingdom? Do I count all of my friends and former allies amongst my enemies? Perhaps it does.
I must remind myself, I can trust in only three things: Myself, the Weave, and the Gods.
I cannot trust in the politics of men. I must see if this Queen becomes a wise ruler, perhaps...and I can't believe I'm writing this...perhaps she may.
