Right, those mountain orcs need a nerf

Edit2: Situation resolved

fear aura removed v8436
-
Being worked on with Echo. Fear Aura removal was lost during the roll back. They are meant to be challenging but the reward for fighting them needs to reflect that challenge. Things likes dropping heads 100% of the time, having loot like potions and maybe gold dropped when they get killed are being worked through. Increasing the CR to make them grant more xp when killed.
Stay tuned.

@Prof-Misclick I wholeheartedly approve of ALL of these measures and indeed did notice the ominous return of the fear aura's though I figured it had just not been reworked yet at the time.

Echo v8459
- replaced fear aura with fear howl on scrimshawer again (it got lost in the rollback).
- added mountain orc head to their inventory that will 100% drop and can be turned in for a bounty
- manually adjusted 2 CR points each so that they potentially can give more xp (not going into detail but there are caps, limits, multiple variables with the xp system)
Additional Changes by Puffy
- adjusted C.A.R.E.S to modify frequency of the spawns as well as increase some variety of spawns
Will keep this here instead of implemented until we can review the changes live. Keep giving feedback please.

I'm still off the mindset that creatures that strong need to be strictly monitored by DM directly and used as part of special encounters.
Not just as some sort of CARES spawn -
@jalafoon Hey have you met frostgiant bezerkers yet?
-
stay on topic

any feedback on these guys since they were adjusted?
-
i decided to test it tonight, found some mountain orcs around tilverton
the size of the "patrol" (very small, last time i ran into any they were in a group of 5 mountain orcs, but i wonder if the tigers counted as part of the patrol? or was it a double spawn?)
2 Mountain orc scrimshander
1 Mountain Orc Scavenger
2 Tigersthis was i am guessing not the average size of a patrol in the mountains, they used generous amounts of healing (which really makes sense). the left my two fully buffed level V fire summons as "badly injured" but the orcs and tigers were eventually defeated (i rank their fighting ability in the game as formidable, EDITED they are slightly above that of a hullack hill giant individually in difficulty to defeat, in larger numbers they could pose a problem to the ill prepared or the over confident, there were no spell casters or ones who used a fear thing among the group i encountered)
they dropped 100% for the mountain orcs(i cannot see people getting rich off of the mountain orc heads, as they require a bit of effort and resources to defeat)
and the tigers dropped the normal meat, bone, the tigers did not drop a hide -
working as intended then.
