Celestial and demonic battle Hillmarch
-
Given current events we need more ibfo in regards to what is going on. Pierre of the black chalice seems to constantly be doing patrols and recent bulletins show he is wanting to take an interest in southgorn for his lord. We need to step up our aims and start letting the people know we have not fallen into obscurity. We lost to Tilverton once. With a new dawn we are always reborn to March forth in the light and learn from our pasts. I aim to commence with patrols of hillmarch as well as southhorn. I would like to perform a ritual at March similar to a summoning to see if we can make contact in peace with the celestial hosts who left the warning. Through them perhaps we can learn more and bring the light and in Lathanders name bring absolution to the darkness that infests the lands and bring peace.
For such a ritual we will need resources and aid. The ritual will tap powers that will attract the demonic and we will need to show strength if we do make contact with the celestial.
List of things we will need
Skin of a weight stag.
Items of Lathanders light preferably a chalice to hold holy water.
Diamonds as well as they will help refract the light and carry the divine power we will call forth.
Wild asters as a grounding representation of life and who we represent.
Ingots of silver. Highly valued by celestial. This can be seeing I the make of their orbs. It's all very symbolic. We may not succeed the first time or even the second. It will take time to reach out and whether or not we will get a response.

I almost forgot another key ingredient and to provide it I need a blood ritual dagger.

I have in my possession the skin of a white stag and the Golden Chalice of the Sun, a moderate relic of our faith.

Alparin successfully fueled the celestial ward by casting a divine blessing of Lathander upon it, granting the celestials the power to fight with vigor and strength against the devils summoned. It is worth noting, that the demonic presence is minimal and dwindling.

Responding to a message sent out, I went to the EasternMarches to investigate the demon and devil activity and came upon Conrad and Quo talking with an Imp. I was intent on smiting the pathetic creature but the demon forces were paramount first over a sniveling worming imp. (I intended upon the demons destruction to smite the imp after)
Leaving with Conrad and Quo we were met with two devil warriors. At first I though it a trap, but was instead given news these hellish warriors were offering to help us in destroying the demon forces.
As a true servant of heaven, I denounced this so called “aid” as the blasphemy for what it is and beseeched the two men to cling to righteousness. But they were quick to accept the devils aid, with claims of “pragmatism”. I left quickly intent to find good souls to end this threat properly and came upon Dominic and Ade as well as the Raven Donie.
We returned and came upon a battle of devils and demons for an obelisk. Dominic wished us to retreat, but I would not let these two forces remain standing alive and charged into battle. We slew the demons and the devils both for the two sides had weakened each other allowing the light to cast out the darkness.
Before more could be done to examine and study the obelisk, a cam ion appeared and made state its intent to destroy the obelisk itself. To allow any victory to the hells side is the path of sin and myself, Dominic and Ade spoke against even allowing this filth devil to do its work.
Better we take weeks to disperse the obelisk then let hell have its moment of triumph however small. But again the so called “pragmatism” of Conrad and Quo was spoken and even Donie was convinced. I was wrathful with righteous rage and descended upon Conrad who put himself in front of the devil to guard it to allow it to do its work.
He bested me sorely and with Quo holding a wand of fireballs in the distance I was taken from the field by Ade and Dominic. We left the others behind with their hellish master. The rest speaks for itself. The Ravens and Quo are sympathizers with hell, and at worst infernalists themselves.
-
I have made a request to the Bishop to place a bounty upon these infernalists, as well made a public announcement of their crimes. Conrad has attempted to stage a duel of honor, but I will not entertain infernalists nor their demands.

Disturbing news. Thank you for the report.
Conrad has asked for a representative of the House of the Morning to speak to. I was busy at the time he asked but intend to go listen to him. I don't doubt everything you've written here is true, especially of Qo'i, but we might learn something of use in the coming fight just by listening.
Thanks for standing up aginst that. Dominic and I were discussing the potential of slaying the Cambion - since we were initially seeking to flush out the leader of the Nine Hells' forces in the first place and this Cambion seems to be the one making their decisions for them.

This has led to the empowerment of the devils in the March, enough that they were able to open a portal to the Nine Hells right in front of the ward, cracking it and spilling out an almost endless horde that we could not fight.
Our mages were slain and Alpharin was not up to the task of sealing this breech. Seeing no path to victory, I called a retreat so that we could regroup and raise our comrades. Kira of the Precept and Fyevarra, a mage and my good acquaintance, are working on a method of closing this portal and Alpharin can repair the ward.
There is an army of devils between us and this ward, however.
@Prof-Misclick @SpiffyMeister @Voss
Sir Myrkyr,
I write to ask for the mobilization of a company of the Aster, to help push through the hordes of devils and devil-kin guarding a portal to the Nine Hells which has been opened in the Eastern Marches.
As the druids have declined our assistance and have decided to cleave to their monstrous allies, I feel that this task must take priority because of it's urgency. It is also the case that the Ravens of Tilverton have in some part helped to cause the current state of affairs, and I feel this should not go unanswered.
I estimate a company will be sufficient at present to help us pierce this army and give us a chance at closing this portal, but the hordes of devils appear to be endless and will shortly grow impossible if something cannot be done.
There will always be another Dawn,

Around the same time when we went out to see this little beholder herald, Conrad of the Ravens also declared he was going to find and kill it.
I was with Alpharin, my brother, and Dominic of the Crown Guard when he arrived. Dominic informed him that he had a fine to pay, which Conrad refused to do. Apparently, a member of the Summerstar household authorized a hefty fine for accepting a job from a devil, and Dominic was tasked with carrying it out.
He used one of those devices to stop Conrad in his tracks and attempted to subdue him. The beholder-kin attacked Dominic, so we killed it. When it became apparent Dominic could not subdue Conrad by himself, he asked for our assistance so I and my brother went to his aid.
He ended up being caught north of Arabel attempting to flee back to Tilverton, and although he tried to escape once more, he eventually did pay his fine and was let free.
Afterwards we were all accused of highway robbery, which seems completely preposterous. Are these Tilverton Ravens eating bad mushrooms, or do they really think they're aggrieved?

Additionally as it seems that the 'Goldfeather Seal' is connected to the King's family, and the Queen has fallen ill.
Could we potentially request an audience with the King, regarding this? I understand Sir Myrkyr rode to the Queen's side, when she was struck ill. It seems that something must be known within the royal family, and it may be relevant to our work in the area - maybe even to her life.

We went to talk to the Celestial Host defending the Goldfeather Seal.
We managed to speak to the Ward Guardian, a celestial, through the device at the entrance. He told us to go to the bottom of a ruin that had been opened up nearby the ward.
When we arrived at the site, we discovered the devil cultists had managed to trick and capture the Ward Guardian. They were using several pillars made of a particular type of hellish steel to contain him with the intent of killing him.
I used the Fiendsbane to break these pillars during the battle, which allowed us to harm the cultists, eventually killing them at great expense.
We freed the Celestial to resume his duties protecting the ward, potentially saving the ward itself from falling.
- Ma'crag asked to have his ax restored. It was. He is encouraged that he recalls what his anger almost cost him every time he wields the ax and remembers to contain it.
- The Queen will likely also be healed if the seal is healed.
- A mortal of selfish ambition created the thing contained inside the ward. The thing the ward is protecting is some dark device that should never have been created on this plane, capable of warping time and unleashing a great evil upon the world.
- It cannot be removed, and likely it also cannot be destroyed.
- The Celestial senses someone like the warlock of old is out and about. They are 'Seeking glory and dominion, luring mortals with honeyed tongue and promise of brotherhood.' The original warlock was likely from this region.
- The Crimson Saber seems to be part of the cult attacking the Seal. An armor like his was found down in ruins. Two lidless eyes peering from a bestial visage, a symbol he carried at the end of his madness.
- Za'gal, a cambion, is a major player in the Devil-host. We suppose we should start by killing him.
- Conrad is taking swords-lessons from the Crimson Saber and may have been involved in capturing the Celestial if Crimson Saber was.
The sword I am carrying, smithed by the duegar Dourhand, is made of a hellish sort of steel and may contain a part of his spirit. The celestial reasons that it is a blade of vengeance, meant to strike at the devil he was bound to, thus freeing him. It is made of the same material as the devices the devils use to break the wards, so it is imperative it is kept out of their hands. The Celestial suggested I could use it against the devils and that the spirit imbuing it might be put to rest once the vengeance is complete. It allows me to wield it because it senses I'm going after the devil it hates.

Izereth's joined the fight out of a sense of personal offense.

This is regrettable, but I don't see how it changes what we have to do. It just adds the frustration of dealing with that vile docks whore's acts of evil whimsy on top of everything.

A discovery was made in the Anhkeg pits;
Present; Dawnsquire Alparin, Crownguards Dominic, Adelaide & Florent(?), Wizardess Fyevarra, Sylviana(?)The short of it; Ruins of a Tymoran temple connected to house Goldfeather were found and a foul ritual of sickening plague was found within, made by Hags. We fought several Gelanious cubes but the Hags escaped.
Current running theory is that it is connected to the Ward and the ritual meant to weaken it further.
Another theory is this is not related to the Ward at all and instead is related to the Redwoods that lie a few paces north of the passage.Whatever the case might be I intend to travel back to the Tower to try and strengthen it with Lathander's light once again. If only to buy us more time.
