The Rebirth of our glorious town

Honored brothers of faith, Sir Myrkyr, My lord Belon,
We have suffered a massive defeat. But Lathander teaches us, that it is not when we fail, but in our ability to rise anew, that defines our faith. Tilverton and their disgusting Black Chalice Knights are roaming the countrysides, seeking to gain support from the villages.
This is a bitter cup of ale to swallow. But we shall rise, like a Phoenix, and become stronger in the process.
And so I bring to you a plan. A plan to rise, dust ourselves off, and grow stronger. Our reputation and the prejudice of the common man
I and the Morning sword spoke with Misa, and it brought some interesting rumors to light. That people believe we slaughter tiefling babies, if born in our lands. That we are some insane fanatics, for crucifying people alive. The first is a lie. The second is a barbaric custom, that if we remove it from our lawbooks, would limit the potential for gossip. Lathander is a god of mercy. Why not simple swing the sword and be done, if someone must be executed? It is needlessly painful, and serves little purpose except gossip.
Have a clerk emphasize our devotion to redemption. Just use a bit more ink, and be done with it, it is already there. With that our of the way, let us begin the actual work.
The crusades of Deadwell, Southhorn and The demonic plague
We envoke a holy crusade against the undead of Southhorn and Deadwell.- We are already securing that the Murrain show penance and seek redemption by working against the undead of Southhorn.
- The focus on Deadwell will allow us to show resolve, and that we are still willing to assist the villages around us.
We focus our efforts on the demonic plague, showing we are still the true champions of the light.
Finally, we start inviting adventurers to investigate and solve the puzzles of the Haunted Halls, granting a hefty bounty to those who can solve it. This will invite adventurers to our town, and bring much needed trade to our struggling market.
Bringing back the Guardian Angel of Eveningstar
In our initial investigation of the tomb of Saint Eveningstar, it became clear that the village once had a guardian angel, who found the actions of the Saint so inspiring, that they would protect the village properly. Perhaps by finishing the last two trials, we can show our village worthy of their protection once more?New allies
We are entirely without any friends to call upon. The Precepts are at best speaking with two tongues, at worst they are doing the bidding of Lord Misrim. The Greywatch are madmen, and the Wild Walkers are not very trustworthy. We need to open our doors a little, if we are to find worthy companions. Perhaps promising influence and a place in Eveningstar, to those of good heart, if they help us in our future battles?Perhaps we can allow them into our militia, to boost our ranks?Whatever we do, we have lost so much influence in the region, that depending entirely on our own faithful, seems a lost cause. We cannot continue this isolation.
Welcome the faithful of Chauntea to our lands
Their views on life, birth and the purity of the heart, aligns with ours. After the attacks of the Murrain and Lorenza, having her blessings for our farmers would help. I speak purely of a small shrine, or inviting the clergy to relocate their current one to Eveningstar, and for their one priestess to speak her prayers inside our boarders. Not armed forces, beyond our own.Remind the King who gave him his crown
This can be done through the Council of 12, and through you, my Lord Belon. It was US who ensured that he take his seat. And when we called for aid, he ignored us like a cowardly dog. With the Precepts making a play to hinder our presence in the city, perhaps it is time to remind him that without us, he is entirely lacking in allies, when Tilverton no doubt begins its reach into the city. If he has not already.Perhaps through our efforts against the demons, against Deadwell and in the Southhorn, we can show that we are the only trustworthy fighting force in the region, for those of good heart. And through that, be granted the knightly charter of the Second Suns, who patrolled and protected the areas outside of Arabel? Earning such a charter once more, would not doubt boost our reputation, and bring fresh recruits from the other villages to our cause?

Since none of you have made your voices heard, I shall begin the execution of this plan immediately.
I have reached out to the Red Scar mercenaries, and I shall offer them a permanent contract with Eveningstar. Even if I have to pay them with my own gold.Evelyn

Evelyn,
I respect and love your opinion, plans, and ideals. I wish I could have been half as passionate when I was young and idealistic as well.
My bottom line is this.
We shall not permit other faiths in this settlement.
This is not negotiable. It is the policy of the Church of Lathander. It shall not be changed under any circumstances outside of literal life or death of the village.
There is a reason for this I will share should you truly earn the title of Dame in front of your name- but I suspect you will learn it within the tomb of the Saint regardless.
With respect and my admiration,
High Dawnlord Charisbonde Belon

My Lord Bishop,
With outmost devotion, I shall as ever trust in the wisdom of our beloved church. Fortunately there are many other paths for us to embark upon in the plan above, and with a bit of editing, I shall see that it becomes reality. And as for your secrecy, that just empowers my ambition, and that is never a bad thing!
With love and devotion,
Dawnknight Evelyn Stillwater
