Post an outline of what storytellers are able to do

So, I've been hearing from a lot of people i talk to that they've been pushed into a permadeath situation by storytellers just during quest spice. Now it may just be me but having permadeath on just quest spice is a bit much.
However if the admin team is alright with that, could we get an outline of what to expect from storytellers, including when they can perma you, so that players can know what to expect and if they're willing to accept the risk of perma death just from going on quests.

Anytime an admin or storyteller presented a permadeath situation they've always given a warning before the event "Moving forward this is permadeath, if you don't want to proceed now is your chance"

This is basically how it works.
DM's should always give a warning before a perma death event can occur, that's the policy in general.
So, it's not being pushed into perma death, as you (should) always get the choice. If it is suddenly sprung on you (As in, you are now permanently dead, - or, you suddenly face a perma death situation without the option to withdraw) then give the admins a shout. It's highly likely that would get retconned as it's probably a mistake, or someone just getting over excited.

Not sure where this permadeath spice came from? Certainly was not from me. Can someone be more specific?

In short: storytellers can do anything Admins can do except all the server-build stuff.
If you have a concern about an event, PM an Admin with specific details. This is not the proper place to have this discussion.
Locking this thread so it does not become a trash heap.
@foley PM an Admin if you still have concerns.
