You wish a trial for her death, when no ill intent was present. We are coming off the horrors of the White witch and we are in need of a powerhouse. Do you think the Grey watch will have anything of significance to offer if the War wizards decided to look upon our city. This child holds potential for a free Arabel's future. The Death's will never not be unfortunate, but to slay a child for acts beyond their control is akin to blaming a storm for striking a tree. Let her pay her dues, but don't slay her for your ego Bryce.

If you had spoken with us, in figuring out how to best perform this, rather than repeating the same thing over and over. We'd be somewhere. Instead you're rushing toward something without thought, I am not against a trial, so long as the charges are stipulated, the security protocols prepared and a threat response made. Instead, you charge forward without giving any of the safety concerns thought and just say "Trial" without any further clarification.

If you hadn't insisted on avoiding a trial to sweep it away with a settlement this wouldn't need to occur.
The charges are murder. As Arabellian law doesn't have a charge of accidental death.
A lifetime in service to the city would be fitting but that would be for the regal peers to decide

The opinions have been voiced and suggestions made in regards to sentencing. I have said my piece and will say no more than that it seems only fair to leave it to the court.
They will decide if there is wrongdoing, and if there is, what the punishment shall be. The Precept cannot solely decide for the Kingdom in the cases its citizens are slain. It is the Kingdom's duty to protect their citizenry, and so they should decide what is done about Shaundra in this case. I trust them to make the right decision.

In either case the child has an unfortunate future ahead of her, whether it's a short one through a kangaroo court or an arduous one at the hands of the Precept. Seeing how I cannot trust the wisdom of my fellow peers in this Lower Council, perhaps those who spend their days meddling with affairs similar to this daily will do a better job of deciding.
If the child is killed, that shows what sort of law that Arabel upholds.
