PvP-mechanics for beginners

Can I have PvP lessons too?
-
I sux at PvP. No doubt. Does not mean Im not gonna act IC and do what i think I need to do.
Artio got her butt handed to her for standing up for what she believed in. Not all braverery in the face of danger is going to be backed by an ability to do anything more than die for a belief.Szarne is turning out to be a coward in some instances ( choosing to run or bluff his way out of confrontations) or maybe, even against the odds, try to stand up against people who are about to enter the twisted maze with a prisoner in tow.
Will I ever get good enough at PvP mechanix to actually be able to say "no" and enforce it?Probably not.
Am I gonna try?
Yup.

Bumping this as pvp has been occuring frequently lately and I see some new players. Also feel free to shoot a pm here or on irc.
Good luck! -
PvP may not be necessary for enjoyment in NwN, but being at least capable of doing it without falling over yourself is a very pleasant feeling.

That's the spirit :D I'm no good at pvp either but will certainly not back away from conflict because of it.

Hey, I was shit at PvP too, I've never won even once. They still made me a DM.
That said, learning how to stand on your own feet in battle isn't a bad idea. Mechanics will always be a part of the RP experience, just as it is always a part of the Tabletop experience. It's also not as difficult as it looks. I'm much better at it now, but that's because I can zip around invisible and see how the experts do it. My first thought was "This isn't so hard".
Just hit up some dudes for advice and get some IC practice with other people. Honestly, I'd say you'll be a lot better in a matter of days.

One of the 'experts' still needs to make a concept that spends a lot of his time training adventurers to kick other adventurers asses. :)
Is something a weapon master might do too.

Oh someone please do that! Post on group concept thread, see if people are interested even with an alt.
