@Strife-and-Discord yeah probably not worth the effort then.

View area maps when not in the area.
Ok so this is a very random and "out there" suggestion but here goes.
Is there any way that it could be possible to view the actual mini map of an area when looking at the player made map while not actually being in the area? For example if I'm in immersea and want to decide which island to sail to, I could use the maps in my inventory to look at the mini maps to remember which island the lighthouse is on for example.
No idea how this would work logistically but it would be very cool to be able to do it but obviously work vs benefit would need to be considered.
Cheers

Deadwell Loot
So I finally managed to get a party together to go to Deadwell and wow, it was fun, atmospheric, dangerous and had some interesting lore. I had a great time down there.
But....the loot SUCKED!!!! We had a rogue with high search as well and basically found a dagger and some aberration slayer chain. I mean we didn't go there for loot but damn, the haunted halls is better for it and far less dangerous. Something seems way off there oh and did I mention it took two hours to get there and back? Yes there were XP markers but for two hours worth of dungeon crawling in a very dangerous dungeon, it's not worth it.
Please bump up the loot, it's an absolute travesty and it's no wonder so many players have no interest in going.

RE: Sell Ways To Start Campfires In Stores
@Echo no tinder was removed in favour of the flint stone and twig system.

RE: Sell Ways To Start Campfires In Stores
Agreed while you can use sticks in the wild there should be tinder for sale also that the flint stone is used on. Saves you having to run from a city/town off into the woods just before a quest because you need a camp fire.

RE: Ancient Watchtower
Have done this a couple of times recently and agree it has become very boring. Today I did it with two of us, one level 9 and one level 7 but it was similar when i last did it with four or five.
All we fought were skeletal cats and skeletal arcanists. Was generally only 3 or 4 spawns on each floor, not a lot for such large areas. Felt very easy for the gold reward and loot was also very sparse and lacklustre. Overall it was a bit of a snooze fest.
Thanks

RE: A redressing of the Death Penalty and Cleric Raises
Dnd and video games in general have got "easier" over the years and I think a big reason for that is the people who used to play them don't have endless hours to grind like they used to. I remember playing a game for months that only took half an hour to complete end to end but were so hard you had to keep starting over and over again. I couldn't be bothered with that now as my time is more precious.
Things should be fun and losing months of progress at level 9/10 sucks and every time it happens I seriously consider quitting the server and I'm not the only one. I agree there should be a penalty but at levels 9-10 it's too harsh and for levels 4-7 it's worthless. At level 8 it feels about right! I think a fixed xp penalty amount at each level is the way to go and make it so you are not guaranteed to lose a level every time you die at the higher levels.
