Witherwick Copperswillow/Halfling/Wizard/CG
Background: Witherwick Copperswillow is a halfling wizard whose life has been both married and defined by his struggles. Having once been a respected wizard, his descent into addiction and alcoholism caused him to lose control of his magical abilities and reputation. His greatest regret, losing his friend to an insatiable spirit of gluttony because of a foolish dare.Apping for:
-
An item that creates feasts once per day (mundane misc items, chicken thighs, pies, etc)
-
A “Bag of tricks” that he will use to entertain people for gold, just various visual effects to fit the illusionist theme of the char
-
Driven by remorse for past mistakes, Witherwick aims to make amends for any harm he might have caused during his darker times(something he will still be going through upon creation). He desires redemption and strives to use his magical abilities for good.
-
Keeping grizzleclaw’s gluttony satisfied
Beg and steal, he finds the resources to fill his stomach
Create treats mundane and magical
Prepare glorious feasts to buy time and save innocent lives! -
Witherwick has a profound interest in finding a cure for lycanthropy, a condition he fears may lead to devastating consequences. He seeks ancient knowledge or rituals that could lift the curse and free his friend from it.
-Involve other players to abduct lycans other than grizzleclaw and conduct experiments cruel yet necessary. -
Performing the Ritual of Hair Restoration(a permanent illusion): Witherwick longs to regain his once-lustrous hair, a symbol of his former self. He seeks a ritual or artifact that can restore his balding head to its former glory.
- Let not Grizzleclaw’s efforts be in vain. Complete the original mission and find reagents of great potency to perform a ritual more important than any other.
Players won't know what the ritual is for, other than it being important and involves the safety of the realm (it doesn’t)
FLAWS
Witherwick's addiction to alcohol is a constant challenge, and he often struggles with temptation, especially during times of stress or vulnerability.Fear of Judgment: His troubled past has left Witherwick with a fear of being judged and shunned by others. He is hesitant to form deep connections, fearing rejection due to his flaws.
Impulsive Curiosity: Witherwick's insatiable curiosity can lead him into dangerous situations or make him rush headlong into exploring magical mysteries without proper consideration of the risks.

fyi if approved I can script the goodies pretty easily and throw the items into resman to be removed later. Or I can have a chest the item picks from and copies into the players inventory.
-
btw obv obstaining
-
Is the CG for chaotic good, or crown guard?
-
Chaotic Good. lol
-
Spoke to him about this and said Spiffy would script him the item if passed. @SpiffyMeister
-
So this is basically an application for a unique item, and the rest of it is just fluff and tl;dr?
Because everything that I see relates to somebody elses application.
-
@Echo basically yes
-
Please provide your plans for said item here. Staying my vote until then.

Same

Basically it's a 1/day item that will spawn some pie, sausage, and some bread- that don't do anything.
Purely flavor.
I think I can simply just set up a 'feast chest' and throw items inside of it the script can grab and spawn randomly.

This can just be RP'd
-
Yea so can anything realistically.
-
If Spiffy wants to script it I'm fine with it. It's pretty minor.
-
Why can he not just buy food from the NPC stores, it does exist in game.
-
@Echo we can do that, sure.
Just it's an excuse to do something cool for a player is all

Okay I get that you want to use your newly-developed scripting powers. I just dont see the point. I'm not voting no, but I'm also not sure why I should vote yes. The rest of the "app" has no goals that include others except your PC. Unless a "hair restoration illusion" is somehow fun for the whole server. But the rest of the "app" doesnt require an app at all and it's just a silly wizard concept that he can play without an app.
-
That is 100% fair.
-
Guess I’ll weigh in. App not needed. Character is just a tag along to Spiffy’s and will be abandoned the moment Spiffy stops. And lastly has a PC in the skulls and is not really doing much that I’ve seen.
All the above is fine. Stuff happens. Characters get dropped. People get busy. I doubt we’d be making an item like this or even talking if this wasn’t tied with spiffy.
