Magus Adanja Nikos. Thayan Envoy
-
[a second copy is given to Dame Drakebane to pass along to the High Council and Crown if she deems it worth their attention]
After the Queen's address, I encountered a woman in the robes of the fabled and infamous Red Wizards of Thay. Her name is Magus Adanja Nikos, and she claims to be interested in our Kingdom and its independence from Cormyr. Her Knight is expected to join her soon. For now she is staying at the Falcon's Rest. I told her that relations with foreign dignitaries is a matter for the Crown and High Council, but that as one of the Twelve I would relay that she has arrived. I expect once she and her knight are settled in, they will request an introduction.

Thayan Magus you say.
Interesting.
I'll have to call them for a chat on what they are seeking in the region

Thayans may move about in Arabel as they wish, however she is of no official diplomatic status as of yet.

I'll start a vote on giving them a seat on the council.
That way they can present matters of interest to us directly without us having to be messenger boys or girls.

Outside of being a foreigner of some land, and not even a diplomat at that. What has this person done to warrant a seat that works for the betterment of THIS Kingdom?

The Magus, seemingly at the behest of House Mossmere, with Jace the bumbling apprentice, has disturbed an ancient burial site, robbed the grave of a Dragon, and caused three citizens of the Kingdom to be in danger of losing thier lives.
One is a Councillor.
Another is a member of the Precept. Was probably a good move not admitting them to the council.

The situation with the dragon spirit the Magus stirred up has been resolved through the combined efforts of multiple parties, including the Precept Arcanum.
All the curses involved have been nullified - including the one House Mossmore placed onto a citizen of Arabel as some form of vigilante justice.
