Can't connect to the master Server
-
This happens everytime I try to log onto multiplayer. Is there anyway I can skip the wait and just log right into Arabel?
-
If you ever find out, I'd like to know…
-
This happens for me every single time too, Im so used to it now though but I often go do something else while it does cause for me it kinda takes a little bit of time to actually get through it.

You could try adding a bogus entry to your hosts file, making it impossible to even try to find the master server. See for instance here:

If 'they' ever fix the master server, this should then be removed again.

It's just an added 5-10 second delay when logging in. Hardly a great problem.
-
Help in luteijn's link cuts the delay to almost 0 seconds for me now.

This works. No delay anymore. Thanks for the tip.

I used WordPad on Windows 7, though I had to temporarily enable full permissions for my login on the security tab for the Hosts file, if you change that, make sure you change it back after to prevent accidents.
Edit: Perhaps this info could be stickied? I do not think the master server is coming back anytime soon, perhaps in the players resources forum?

With Windows 7 and probably Vista, try the following:
From the Start Menu, in Accessories, Right click on Notepad and select "Run as Administrator." You may well be asked to confirm this.
Once Notepad is loaded, Choose the File Open menu option and navigate to c:\windows\System32\drivers\etc
Change the dropdown "Text Documents (*.txt)" to "All Files" and you should see the file hosts. Open this file.
Add the line 0.0.0.0 nwmaster.bioware.com as below and save the file.
