Trees - giant select radius of doom

I'd like to hear suggests of possible alternatives to selectable trees. It seems they hamper my movement and targeting ability whenever they are there. SO, is there a way to make the target radius smaller? Using a different placable?
Suggestions? Comments?

@Echo can we make it so that a bubble and a tree appears, but the tree spawns in as non-static but not usable? Smashing the bubble also deletes the tree and spawns resources

Do ALL trees have this issue or just certain appearances?

So, just maple trees? got it.

It's all the trees. Cherry trees are particularly egregious. Pines are generally okay, but for cohesion it may be nice to place an invisible object with the tree name in front of it and make the tree itself uninteractable.

If I do an invisible object then I cannot spawn trees at random for the crafting system. I'm looking for a way to reduce the glow size
