CARES Issues

Gonna start a thread where I can toss my CARES thoughts and reports in.
Area: Moonsea Ride, Slingdyke
Orcs spawning on road.
They SEEMED strong, able to hit me pretty easily while in Fullplate and with a shield though I was unbuffed at the time. If the intention going forward is to reduce the commonplace nature of barkskin and shield potions, they should probably have their kits looked at. I'd probably say this about most of the monsters in CARES right now that I've run into.
If the intention is to let people buff for these encounters- Probably should add those potions to the potion shop.

Area Name: High Road, The Stonecliffs
Right on the roads, maybe lured there by another player but regardless needs some work.

I'm starting to notice a trend with these spawns in general where they are just not possible to walk away from at the lowest levels and are impossible to avoid if you want to travel somewhere.
I'm really not a fan of this, in general, but especially when it comes to connecting areas. I get that there aren't a lot of extra areas to explore, but I think the benefits of opening up these areas more to exploration far outweighs the nonexistent benefits of preventing players from walking around the server.

I haven't had enough people test the CARES balance, so please keep up with the reports so I can fix it :)

Keep in mind you might've gotten shit luck and got a hard spawn. Not every encounter will/should be beatable. Invis potions drop and should be used.

This is so wrong. At the very least, it is wrong when applied to the connective tissue of the server.
Making it a hassle to get places under even normal circumstances is not fun and it boggles my mind that you think it would be. If the goal is to just avoid the encounters entirely what is the point of having them in the first place? This doesn't add to my immersion it just makes me frustrated when I want to go to one of the other very nice places on the server.

The CARES currently arent balanced at all, it is a mere case of tweaking it till there are slightly less dangerous areas, average areas, and deadly areas.

Tweaked the chance of the CARES going up in difficulty in road areas, reduced the number of spawns in some groups.

Moved some spawn waypoints from the road transitions

The Swamp Crab is really strong- I would consider increasing their size considerably to match their power.

Axebeak BirdThis creature has +19ab and three attacks. Sort of silly.

Swamp Trolls are mean.

Found in the first Hullack transition
Including this army of spawns, there were two mountain bears just off screen that I wasn't able to catch in the screenshot. 15 strong hostiles spawning in the same clearing. Should probably be looked at. -
Hullack is dangerous, but possibly something to look into, I agree.

Kobolds, Orcs, and Gnolls don't drop anything at all anymore. Not even the 1-10 gold. Haven't tried further spawns.
