Hope you manage to get it working!

@TheTwistingWind
I've got no clue around Linux, but here's hoping. People are struggling to keep up the ceaseless innuendo without Ophirae D:

Is this what Google is for?

The joys of Linux, super stable, you can make it work with most things. But you have to understand Quantum physics and advanced rocketry just to play an old game.
-
It's the first time since may that I havn't played in two days, when I'm usually online from 8 to 16 hours a day even though I work full time.
I kind of lost motivation lately because of a few things.
So I'll be back sometimes I guess. Might be in a week might be in two months, I don't know.
-
But Isobella and Tyler just found a way to be civil to each other!
Come back soon. We'll be here waiting for you with the light on.
-
I won't be playing or around for an indefinite amount of time due to uni.
-
back from camping! @Amarant i hope you come back soon :o

Just a heads up, I will be out of game for about two weeks from next Monday. Should have sporadic forum access!
And that's me off, hopefully back around the 20th...

@TheTwistingWind
Are you trying to set it up as native linuks, or are you using an emulator?I wasn't able to get it to work, but my machines are mostly pretty old too.
and other stuff.anyways, emulating windows with wine or the better one that automates it for games that uses wine as like a front end is probably easier to set up if you have a powerful enough machine.
somebody really skillful could probably make it so so sweet in native linuks tho.
geekgasmanyways does GOG actually have a native linuks version you can buy?
my windows GOG linuks is crashing constantly, but I didn't configure it yet fully, for instance in windows where you right click on properties of an eksecutiable and click on compatibility mode and then say something like windows eks p sp2 or somethingso basically other than this i probably can't help you (at least right now) but maybe someone else can if you tell them that stuff or like... linuks people are notorious for writing support for how to do things so probably you will find it searchable somewhere (basically to do it right, you end up having to write things down and document it, so why not share it, right?)
good luck

This post is deleted! -
wont be able to play much except on my weekends friday-sunday for the next week or two, maybe a little further, really depends on how my college courses go, have a lot of catching up to do, i'll be back more as soon as i can
-
@TheTwistingWind Did you give up?
Or are you still trying to get things to work?
consistant_truth finally got things to work... there are less linuks people on here but i know people for a fact who were running it and it was working...
you can pm me if you would rather too.
-
@ma1keru333 I managed to get it working under wine (fired right up) just not sure I'm interested in playing right now. I'll keep plugging at what I'm currently doing irl and if the mood stikes me, I'll log in but right now, I need t ofinish some projects!

@TheTwistingWind
some people on the server encouraged me to build a story/character with other people on the server (say in irc or the forums 'concept' ideas threads) before playing, if you want to kind of make sure you will have other people (hopefully in similar time zones/can play together) to do stuff, like your plots with... if you are not sure, and want to get in game faster, some people also suggested some good ideas for 'support' characters that can be useful in game and work well to join in other peoples' plots and story arcs etc. good luck! maybe see you in game.(as for finding time to play, I was kind of hoping to help make it a 'thing' for people to log on on the weekends, for awhile on saturdays (middle of the weekend so works for people in most really different time zones who may be working during the week etc) for maybe like dm events or like more rp socializing etc. I'm trying not to get to caught up with playing in the warmer months here, because the cold season is long in Canada, but i'm hoping to get more time on some of the fun indoor stuff i like when it gets colder here, so like, the winter months... will probably get netflicks or something too and find some stuff i like to watch. So definitely a smart idea to like be taking care of important real life stuff before you get caught up in a game... i can relate to how addictive games can be).
