If you have a wizard staff IG, don't try to edit it. Editing the staffs IG breaks them and may end with you losing the staff altogether.

Really? I will have to fix that up, must be a minor bug in the appearance skipping code. Anyone know which staff in particular this can happen to?

Mostly happened to DM loot which has not been tagged plot, as far as I can tell.
