Tells and Metagaming
-
We've been noticing a lot of people using "Tells" to communicate IG information. This includes using tells to organize quests without making a sending, asking other players to come help your character somewhere, among many other things.
Please keep in mind:
-Using tells to share IG information not appreciated
-It's metagaming
-Quests are not an excuse to break character to maximize gold/xp/lootWhen you do this, not only do you exclude other people from the quest, but you also prevent people from spying, following you places, and a number of other things.
While we understand that you might use a tell to invite your friend who just logged on to join the quest you're about to start, abuse of this is not okay. Tells are for making "Your mom" jokes, making snarky comments about the gnome in the party, and making bets about how many party members will die at the end of Gypsy Healer.
Please keep the golden rule in mind at all times. Don't be a dick.

Guys. STOP DOING THIS.
Please, it hinders lots of things that make the server actually work, and be fun.
I dont mind if there are like 3 people online, your about to do a quest, and another one logs on, and you send them a tell to get in on the quest. But seriously, 99% of the time you should be gathering groups using IC methods, which include sendings, and pysically meeting people.
Please stop doing this, it makes Zool sad. And a sad Zool spawns beholders more often. With Rust monster familiars, and ancient lycan minotaur thralls.
