Vampire allies, and the paladins reaction. . .

Ok. Your a paladin, (deity? watever) and after a long conversation you discover (spoiler) to be alligned with Vampires. (spoiler) Had no intention of doing Evil but (spoiler) ended up there none the less.
Who dares to tell (if your char is a paladin) how he'd react IC?
becouse not sure If (spoiler) will live if told to a paladin. . .

My own view? Find out In Game. Much more fun

@Selene:

Sooner or later evil will corrupt (spoiler).
There are two course of actions for my potential paladin (a class I don't play because I think it's quite difficult to portrait one effectively without putting too much effort in it):- take care of the original problem (the vampires)
- take care of the non-repenting (spoiler)
(or both).

Undead are the scourge of the realms and must ALL be purged with Lathander's holy light. Those who consort with these undead should either repent their misgivings or meet the same end.

Vampires are monsters, and those who willingly consort with monsters are mere victims. How much they must suffer and endure to ensure their own safety through fear. But those of the Ilmateri faith can share your burden. Come seek us out, so we may help you escape the clutches of these monsters and grant you the freedom you have a right to.

We found a witch, may we burn her?

Abbmania cracked this tasty little sausage.
Just see what happens IG and roll with it, most of the CoA magic comes from the unexpected stuff which happens anyway. Throw caution to the wind and keep rocking in the free world

Bring forth those who consort with undead the Anathema of the world. The holy pyre awaits.

The point being stressed is response is going to vary. No one should be dictating how a certain race/class/whatever should response. No one, the DMs being a rare exception, should be telling someone else how to play their character. Very taboo.
Just play the game, see what happens

FInd a werewolf with pecs and start a new group concept.

Paladins vary from deity to deity, and even then paladins of the same deity will vary… So there's no good answer to that question, besides Abby's which is. Find out what happens in game, the surprise is a big part of the fun.

There are of course a few general guidelines. Like: Don't hang around those who keep summoning undead and animating their dead buddies corpses. Don't be too friendly with known criminals and murderers. You should not be BFFs with known cultists who seek to turn the city into a smoldering crater. Babies are not lunch.
Aside from this it is up to the individual paladin to decide to which degree of action their zeal takes them. There are of course lenient paladins who believe in repentance and redemption and the more stern and unforgiving ones who prefer to take your head off and burn your corpse to smoldering ash and then some just for good measure. Which kind you meet will determine the results. It is why CoA is such a flavoured place and why most paladins fail after two weeks.

It's a tough job being a paladin.

Unappreciated, too.
