Alternative COA settings?

Why not medieval europe? It would be fun to relive history and plot against the pope  I'm a history buff.
THAT WOULD BE AWESOME.
History nutter here too. I bagsie the Catholics!
-
Only if you actually have to play the concept of your native country…
Me and Smurf would be some sick sick vikings!
-
I can play a football hooligan!
UP THE 'STAM! WOO THE GUNNERS, ROONEY FOR THE CUP.
-
What about Midkemia? Its got elves, dwarves, Pantathians (snake-people), lizard-men. Not to mention you could set it in the Riftwar and have people battling against the outworlder Tsurani. I'd play on a server like that if it was made with CoA type style.

Narnia
-
Actually I'm just going to go ahead and change it to Narnia, no more suggestions needed

@Notsoslimshady:
Create a unique mythos different from standard FR,
Two powerful kingdoms at odds with each other, several major families within each kingdom all struggling for more power within their respective kingdom, make the setting REALLY low magic, like you have to app for mages, sorcerors and clerics and there will only be so many of them, they will be given perks to reflect the powerful nature of them and the common mundane folk will treat them with awe or suspicion.
I know such a thing wouldnt happen, people are drawn to the fr setting for some reason, and few would like a magic setting that low.
Yes please. Fantasy made from scratch, it's history carved out entirely by the player base? YES

A bit of Fridge logic:
A problem would be that there wouldn't be any acceptable targets for people and cut down en masse in quests any more. At least not sentient ones: you'd have to place a historical, real group of people on the level of vermin to be cut down by virtue of being of that group of people and I can't imagine that not being gruesomely offensive. -
That's true Charlton, infact, we'd have to make CoA a server about relationships and loves and shit.
Wait..
-
I already feel abit funny about killing those gypsy spawns.
-
Shadowrun.
-
As much as l like Dragonlance… This:
@Eddie:A vote for Dragonlance is a vote for kender and gnomesthattalklikethis.
I would go for ravenloft.
for a whole complete different change..
Westeros FTW… they even have a D20 rulebook for the setting already.
http://www.greenronin.com/sifrp/otherwise Hyboria. - Bring back Conan
-
Moar Cthulhu.
-
Deep ones rise from the sea of Immersea, villgers go missing to return somehow wrong! The Name Dagon appearing upon the streets, that would be awesome!
-
Isn't the Abolethic Sovereignty, for the most part, Faerun's Cult of Cthulhu? Arabel could have Cthulhu plots without even breaking from canon.
-
Isn't the Rift a whole deal of Chtulu?
