New PrC Requirements
-
@Cunning:
Add spell focus necromancy to a palemasters pre-reqs. Remove their animate dead ability and replace it with an animate dead item that can be targeted on player corpses. More uses of this item as they raise in levels.
Ignore this, and open pale master to different sorts of masters that manifest different elements in their bodies. Like an all elemental master that uses his magic to establish a greater connection to the world making him tougher. Or a more specialized example could be an Earth Master that does this and his body in place of undeath for PM it would be earth/rock/etc. instead.
If dedicated toward a specific element, they eventually progress into something that is more of a genasi.
Animate dead/summon/etc will be according to chosen theme for the spell (it would be good to have a tool that can choose and switch for elemental masters of all elements) and would not likely count mechanically as an evil act. Even if an actual palemaster did this could represent a neutral PM taking proper respectful animation like a non-rotting type. If the PM was evil it would make little difference anyway.
Other than that there is relatively little to change other than tools to set themes and undead graft.
Undead graft could be counted as:
A screech having the air knocked out of the target and knocking them down.
Water bursting from the ground spraying target's face for a few rounds.
Rock hands or feet appearing and breaking over target's head, causing a stun.
Wood - branches from the master's sleeves fly out and grip the victim.
Fire - might not be a stun but instead lighting someone on fire.Disclaimer: It might be possible to be a DD if in the respective element of the dragon in question, just like how one could possibly be a PM/Dragon Disciple with a dragon with knowing about Pale Mastery. This would be as a part of an incentive to serve dragons.

Well i'm currently playing a plaemaster. I haven't noticed any extra abilities that are not the default, and I see the class as a means to play an arcane necromancer without having to be level nine for the core animate dead ability.
You can focus on an element and be an arcane caster without being level nine currently.

I made a few changes to PaleMaster, the link is here.

For Purple Dragon Knight, I would say remove the need for Ride Skill Points & for Mounted Combat.

Darn, some of us already took those ride points.

That's nice sweetheart but the idea was that they take the path of bringing their body itself to the element, just like undeath to a pale master, which is completely different than focusing on just an element with just spells. The mortal normal body would eventually cease to exist. I am pretty sure just being a level nine caster doesn't do that.
It has been done before on a different server, actually.

So why try it again? >_>

I don't appreciate the sweetheart.
I am trying to put forth an opinion, not get in a condescending battle with my fellow posters.
I don't see any need for hostility just because we have differing views on what we would like to see done with the class.

You wouldn't get this from any other guy, but I am not being mean. You know the rules and so do I. I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling, gotta make you understand.
We both know what's been going on and we know the game, so why state the obvious about pale masters?
