Did the Hillmarch Quest with
Jacob Glassrock (9)
Kalen Smith (8)
Corianne (10)
Seren (10)

Spawned this Ogre Warlord as the final boss.
Fear Aura DC 14.
Dont know how many rounds Fear Aura is supposed to last. But it lasted well over 20 seconds RL time. I think its because the DC was rechecked every time it entered into range.

Is this thing legit?
I dont mind so much the high AB or the APR. But the fear aura is legit broken and there was an initiative in the past to remove these enemies from the server with these auras

In any case, it quite easily killed Jacob, Corianne, and Kalen. Did not realize it was hitting SO hard, as the fugue was already loading. We did take care of all disarmable traps - so that trap triggered was a non-disarmable bonus, I think.

My gut suspicion is that this is a result of the level cap for this quest being extended to allow lvl 10 recently (It used to be a 6-9 quest).
I think the level cap was raised but the CARES tables were not reviewed to avoid things like this.

So maybe a bit of USER BEWARE!
If you choose to go on this quest at lvl 10.
Or with multiple lvl 10s

@jalafoon CARES isn't used on scripted quests. This quest must just have two bosses in the encounter and your party was high enough that the CR calculator that runs base encounters threw this guy at you. Just an FYI - I can't weigh in on any of the rest but the technicals.

Well if thats the case, then that is one helluva jump between the "normal" boss for the quest and THIS guy!

It actually has three bosses! Ogrillon chieftain, orc chieftain, and the ogre warlord. Weird, though. We hit it with 3 10's and an 8 earlier. Didn't get this boss. The only way I've ever gotten the warlord is if I enter the quest with summons already out.

i've never seen the warlord spawn though so i didnt know hit had aura
