Addition to Tailoring models: Weapon appearence
-
It is a quality of life suggestion, but with all the hard work going into the tailoring models, could we have the final piece, weapon appearence, added to it, similar to cloaks, shields and armors?

I do want to do this.
It would probably only be the first four, and the four basic colours.
Reason is, there are loooooooooaaaaaaads of possible combinations with all the haks, and some of them are utterly mad, like, it turn a dagger into a bag, or part of its a meat cleaver and the other is a pigeon or something.
In order to open all the possible appearance options and not all the crazy weird jank would require a pretty insane amount of hand hard coding of skipping weird stuff for every dodgy instance for every weapon type.
The script would be huge numbers of lines long and... Pretty much nope.
Even with just doing the four basics, there's some hand coding to do, because we have custom weapons which might not have those, and even some standard weapons (fuck you sickle...) Don't match the standard four appearance, four colours thing most stuff does.
So...
The reason it's not done, is it's about five million times more work than the helms etc (and those have a lot of hand coded ommisions themselves)

I would suggest the first four colors too. And if someone has, say "a rat flail" (which should probably be "do not alter"), and they change the appearence, it can never again become a rat flail.
If memory serves, that is how it worked in the old crafting system. You could find something which used custom appearence, but if you changed it, you could not go back, that would be the "price". -
Hopefully to be implemented when time and energy is available.
