DM Question: Upgrading Prestige Gear

So I've managed to collect (Thanks @Valkyrie )enough prestige points and want to upgrade my armour.
Do we get any credit/turn in prestige for the armor/gear we have?
Assuming there is no credit, do we trash the armour/gear or get to keep it as a something we can gift to the next player that comes into the faction?Thanks.

This is currently being discussed by the team, however I would recommend keeping it so that if you're promoted, and you feel someone within the faction (a full member mind you) so Dawnsquire/dawnbringer achieves a boon from your character, you could honor them with gear.
This should lead to a little bit richer RP-wise hand-me-down type gear, since it will have a history of multiple players.
An example may look like this:
Valkyrie saves up as Dawnbringer, purchases fullplate. She carries on her story, fighting many villains, eventually others join the faction, an Awakened does something cool and earns Dawnsquire- Valkyrie, now a Dawnlord, can honor that player with their old Squire fullplate.
And so on,
and so on.
