Lady Islyn and the Church
-
[A candlit table with a large chalice of wine, the Dawnsquire writes with firm press and neat hand.]
We are tasked with finding what it is the church is rightfully owed after rescuing Lady Islyn. This file is to get our collective thoughts on what we deem reasonable of those who do not avidly follow the light, yet walk in it nonetheless. It is to my understanding House Misrim betrayed the trust of the order before I was inducted as a squire. For this, I am hopeful it may lead to a relationship of great worth. I do not strive when it comes to politics, nor wordplay but I will say this.. If we are to further strengthen the church and it's Order, we are to ask of something that keeps us in good position. I would say a large acquisition of magical treasures and sums of coin. They proved they acquired relics of the sun through "contacts', only the light knows what else they may hide.
The light is the way,
-Dawnsquire Tiatus Thornwind. -
I do support where my good Dawnsquire is coming from, supplies to continue the fight against the White Horde. He's well intentioned in this. However, an alternative would be to encourage Lady Islyn Misrim to bring bountiful life to Eveningstar by way of investment in agricultural needs and defenses. Four watch towers, similar to those you find in the village of Hillmarch to aid us in defense, as well as men to man them.
Yet most importantly, I believe we should inspire growth and fertility with Eveningstar. Long have the people of Arabel hungered for food. If we could increase our harvests and yields by a large enough percentage, with a healthy donation of land and coin for farmers to till it, we could provide further support to Arabel all by the grace of Lathander.
Increased farms and fields for food which can then be sold to Arabel, and four towers to see this new asset protected.

You have until the sun rises to present what you believe to be appropriate reward for the remarkable service you did for House Misrim and the young lord.
Eveningstar does not require towers and we do not maintain a large standing force by choice. Let the First Peer and the council incur the cost of armies. We are protected by the small cadre of the Aster and have many veterans of the wars before to call into a militia should there be a need.
Dawnknight Myrkyr and I have decided this is your moment to make of it what you will. It is our hope that you fulfill the promise you have thus far shown. The action and decision before you will have repercussions for all Lathanderites and the people of Eveningstar in the years to come as well as defining your own legacy.
it is my hope that in the dawn, beauty reigns, and the way is clearer for us all.
High Dawnlord Charisbonde Belon
//there is a bit of OOC delay trying to get all the people together but this is/should be a big deal setting wide. Let me know if you just are not interested OOCly. ICly this would be close to the most important thing there is for a couple of Aster dudes and the Church.//

The below suggestions are what I would discuss openly with Exchequer Osco Appleblossom. Obviously some of these will be heavily scrutinized by the House of Misrim, however I believe we can achieve some of, if not all the below:
-
A Lordship and Title for an established and proven Dawnknight of the Order of Aster, raised up to Lord Protector of the West, including the territory of Eveningstar. This will afford an option to one of the two established Dawnknights in the region, be it Dawnknight Myrkyr, or mine self. Osco will be allowed to interview either candidate if the House of Misrim agreed to the below marriage proposal.
-
Lady Islyn Misrims conversion to the faith of Lathander who will then continue supporting the faith through charity, a renown priest afforded to her as an instructor in our ways. This will be our voice within the House of Misrim. 1/4th of all income for 5 years will be granted to the House of the The Morning as donation/charity, this will be eveningly divided amongst the Order of Aster and the Church of Lathander.
-
Lady Islyn Misrim may not be married to Eskil Misrim at all. The truth of this will be known. If there has been a false marriage to the double, it is forfeit. We would concede her conversion if she in turn married the newly established Lord Protector of the West. Her life will continue with all the pleasures she once knew in Arabel, from the comfort of the newly established estate in Eveningstar, built by the House of Misrim.
-
Lord Obyn Misrim will agree to his son (as next in line of House Misrim) being instructed by the Order of Aster when he comes of age, and will take the oath of the Order. Until such time the child would be instructed by the church of Lathander. We will ensure the safety of Lady Islyn Misrim until the child finds his way to Eveningstar.
-
The safe return of ownership and deeds of land of the Keep taken by the Knights of the True Sun. It is a well known fact that House Misrim aided in the legal purchase of this land. We would have the deed returned by whatever means necessary to the Order of Aster, as a gift for the new Lord Protector of the West. The remains of those buried within this sacred ground shall not be altered in any way, as we believe the Heresy of the True Sun have received the punishment of Lathander as their order has been destroyed. That said, the fallen knights will be respected as their deeds were great and even through mismanaged ideals, brought glory to the Light of Lathander. ((We demand the old Keep of the True Sun essentially)).

Parts of the agreement has been met, however negotiations are still underway between myself and House Misrim. Noted below are the conditions which have been acquitted so far, and also the ones which remain under discussion.
- Sir Nicholas Alwin Appleberry, has been granted a noble title. The Lordship of High Dawnlord Charisbonde Belon remain under discussion, as well as the land gifted to the Church of Lathander.
- If I had wished to wed, I would had done so a long time ago. There will be no marriage between House Misrim and the Order of the Aster, House Misrim and myself reject the proposal mutually.
- Lord Obyn's son shall be instructed and trained by the Order of Aster, details of this agreement to be finalised with the reclamation of Tilverton
- The Castle of the True Sun and its ownership remain under discussion.

// Just a quick update, things are a bit slow due to RL but these updates will allow your PCs to move forward.
-
Is Exchequer Osco Appleblossom aware of these discussions?
Also - has Lord Islyn Misrim awoken yet? He asks on her condition every time we speak, and I would allow him some good news were it available.
-Sir Nicholas, Dawnknight of Eveningstar.
-
//the only hold up is OOC time constraints. We wanted to give you some guidance since things are up in the air//
-
A long discussion was had with Exchequer Osco Appleblossom regarding the topics above, and Lord Islyn Misrim was kind enough to allow us to handle the situation and excused herself.
-
Lord Islyn Misrim will honor the 50,000 coin donation to the House of the Morning for the removal of the Wererat lycanthrope threat.
-
Lord Islyn Misrim has agreed to act as Benefactor to the Township of Eveningstar.
-
High Dawnlord Charisbonde Belon will be gifted all the lands of the of Eveningstar and the surrounding territories, and awarded the title of Lord Paramount of the West, solidifying him as the Most Revered, Bishop Charisbonde of Eveningstar. All the lands from the Collinswood, the Vale, the South Horn, essentially everything near Eveningstar, beyond the High Road between Arabel and Eveningstar, is now under Bishop Belons control.
-
The Order of Aster will be seen in the Lawbook as the Order of the True Sun once was, and be given full authority to execute the rule of law upon the lands outside Arabel. Eveningstar, as it is governed by Bishop Belon. The Bishopric of Eveningstar may be allowed their own lawbook, though these cannot conflict with Arabels. Special permission is granted to the faith of Nobanion, the long known ally of Lathander, to practice in Eveningstar.
-
For 1 full year, no taxes will be taken from the lands of Eveningstar nor Bishop Belon, allowing him to begin building a proper estate. After which, due to the nature of the Bishops new lordship, tax will be had on the Church of Eveningstars Temple of Lathander. The tax will be no greater than the percentage any feudal lord pays, though it will be on the church, not the people. Bishop Belon will be allowed to claim taxes given by citizens of Eveningstar as tithes to the Church. This does however mean, the worship of Lathander is Taxed by the Kingdom of Arabel, and by extension, House Misrim.
The Status of the Castle of the True Sun is unchanged, our negotiations became rather heated and ended abruptly at this point.
We had agreed to Lord Islyn Misrim converting to the faith of Lathander, though not by force, after a period of conversion she would choose to set aside Liiria for Lathander. [This agreement was removed after the discussion of Bishop Belons title]
We discussed Obyn Misrims child, and heir to House Misrim, would serve five -formative- years in the Order of Aster, as well as be tutored by High Dawnlord Belon himself until those formative years, making him a Ward of Eveningstar. [This agreement was removed after the discussion of Bishop Belons title]
I was kicked in the knee by suggesting the above, however after long discussion, and the forfeiture of some dignity, we have come to the above agreement.

We have been invited as the esteemed guests by Exchequer Osco Appleblossom to House Misrim for ending the wererat menace.
This is a formality. Exchequer Osco Appleblossom intends to oust the False Islyn Misrim and end the charade in public view. Exchequer Osco Appleblossom wishes for the true Lord Islyn Misrim to be in the crowd with us, the Order of Aster, as our guest. The Gala is a masquerade, so she will be allowed disguise. This deception is an unfortunate necessity as we intend to unveil the rightful Lord of House Misrim in the public eye when Exchequer Osco Appleblossom makes his move.
We support the rightful lord, and we will give them this chance to oust the false Islyn. We are entrusted with the safety of House Misrim in this mission. Lord Islyn Misrim is of paramount importance to Eveningstar. After the unveiling, we will encircle to protect her from the would-be assailants of the false lord. It will be in this moment that every Misrim decides if they are loyal, or not.
This is Exchequer Osco Appleblossoms request. That Lord Islyn Misrim be viewed by Arabel not as a deposed lord, but as the savior of her House.
-Sir Nicholas
Dawnknight of Eveningstar,
Order of Aster -
See it done. Preparations will be made to ensure the gala is one for the history books. Now we'll see what viper's nest that house of coin has been concealing.
