I would like to grant the PC the Netherese language based of her research and IG efforts: https://nodebb.cityofarabel.com/topic/52598/the-ruins-report
The player has been actively involving players and sharing her findings IC, whilst also reporting it all on the forums. They cannot learn the language via strawman's system cause they have 10int, however I consider their efforts into the ruins worthy enough to EiG the language. Plus it will give the players some much needed White Horde hints

Is 10 intelligence even possible to learn a new language?Especially considering that it's a dead language? Idk
Considering that Rismente character has 20 intelligence and is also learning the language, and has not received a language token yet, not sure how I feel about it.I am not saying no, I am saying convince me

Maybe you could make it something that only works with DM permission, and imperfectly?
"I'm pretty sure this door says "treasure room", but I don't recognize the conjugation on this verb. It might be the "death room""

I agree.

Let me give a "for example"
I spoke Spanish pretty fluently as a kid, then I started public school. Now, my Spanish is limited to:
abogado - lawyer
baño - :toilet:
ayuadame - :sos_button:
dinero - :dollar_banknote:
taco - :taco:
margarita - :tropical_drink:
cerveza - :beer_mug:And Spanish is far from a dead language. If I listen to people speaking Spanish now, I can follow about 1/3 of the conversation, depending on how quickly they are speaking.
I'm with Professor, - if she's near someone who is speaking it, she might be able to follow part of a conversation but she's not going to be able to carry on an entire conversation in it.
Voted no.
