New Shop Ideas
-
Have any ideas for new shops, some goods they could sell? Themes? Just looking for suggestions, don't hold back.

A shop obsessed with different combat styles and ways of fighting would be nice! To elaborate a bit, this would include equipment designed to make people think about trying out different combat styles and multi classes.
For example!
Eldrich Helm
These helms are based on a design frequently used by the Knights of the Silver Fire, a order of warrior mages dedicated to fighting the foes of the weave with steel and spell.
Give bonus feat Spell Penetration.
Only usable by fighter and paladin.
Wizard Heavy Overcloak
While these robes do interfere with magic somewhat. They tend to find themselves in the bags of many travailing wizards anyway, especially those who go into the ruins under the city, as a way to protect themselves from harm when there trying to conserve magic or have plane run out.
Base item: Studded Leathers (trench coat robe look)
+1 ac vs slashing
+1 FortudeOnly usable by wizard and sorcerer.
Cleaver
These greataxes are fairly common across the realms with novice warriors, and even more common with thugs in backstreets.
+1 damage
Bonus feat cleaveHealers Half Plate
Most likely originally a Ilmatar creation, these suits are enchanted with healing powers over defensive enchantments, allowing even a novice priest (or a young warrior in fact) to ease suffering on the battlefield and in dark dungeons.
+5 heal
Cure minor wounds 5 times a day
Cure light wounds 3 times a day -
Also why not have a shop with stuff designed to fit in with the new kits and themes?
Blazing Red Boots!
Frequently worn by Pyromancers, these boots look stylish (which is important) and protect the user from there own magic (which is kinda important)
Fire resist 5
- 3 persuade
Sorcerer only
Kama of the Asp
Imported from Unthar, these kamas burn with a acidic poison.
D4 acid damage
Thugs club
Suitably spiky, the clubs are often used by criminal enforcers.
+3 Taunt and Intimidate
D4 piecing damage
Fighter only

Just in general, but could the fighter only shop be expanded to include light armors, small shields, etc? Same general theme as the heavier stuff..
-
There are also a few rogue shops but when compared in power/quality to the ranger, fighter and that weird cleric/wizard shop it is very undeveloped/underpowered.
-
Actually, I think you mean barbarian, fighter, and wizard/cleric shop. The Barbarian shop is supposedly also for rangers but doesn't have much of anything they can use.
-
A rift/cultist themed shop would probably be appropriate.
I'd move the magical book store/hedge magic place into the old scholars tower and expand on the stock there.
Perhaps a highly expensive wizards shop that sells one use reagents that allow them to use the new sorcerer spells?
A back ally shady guy that sells "augments". He'll remove your eye and give you a rakashas one that improves your spot/search, cut a hole in your chest and install a demons heart that gives you greater constitution, that sort of thing. Perhaps you could even have Angels Wings grafted on to your character for the right price?

While an awesome idea, you aren't going to find this in an alley on Arabel…but this is GOING IN somewhere else someday.

Perfect I feel.

ahem may I introduce you to… The Mapmaker's Dream!
This shop is designed to make all your map-making needs easy as 1, 2, 3! with several items for sell that allow you to map and entire... eh... map.. and copy it out for all your friends to see! ( i.e something that copyed ONLY the little minimap into say.. pictures? and could be used several times a day... { unlike cartographers tools, which seem not to work all that well...} -
A Curio Shop. The idea would be some (ideally somewhat shady) shop that sells a collection of oddities with one or two powerful / very expensive items thrown in. The owner of the shop would be fairly mysterious and ideally linked to one or more shady power groups. The shop would sell three different types of items, listed below.
1. Oddities Linked to Server History: Random items that are linked to the servers history. For instance, Purple Dragon helm from the days before the Rebellion. The chest plate (armor) of a Merciful Sword Knight and so on. These items would ideally have some fairly minor enchantments that make them slightly better than un-enchanted armor but a large step below true faction gear (representing the items are old / scavenged remains of history).
2. False / Cursed Items: Very expensive items that are false or cursed but sold as "useful". Maybe items that have a nice bonus but alos a very severe detractor attached to them. Their description would read something along the lines of "the shop owner refuses to talk about where he got this or what it does, but he seems to be eager to be ride of it". These items would ideally be fairly expensive. You buy them and equip them at your own risk (maybe an OOC warning to this effect), then the items bonus and detractor are revealed.
3. Legends: One or two VERY expensive items that are either legendary or can lead to legendary items. Maybe something along the lines of a very expensive "old sword, -1 AB & -1 Physical Damage". However if purchased by a fighter / weapon master / etc who takes the time to really role play it, it can turn into a very powerful weapon suited to that character. Again description is something similar to the cursed items "shop owner wont speak of these items and wants to get ride of them".
